@queuing_for_PS4 I could easily imagine Drake turning into Joel if he was put into the same situation for so many years. Drake can handle weird shit now and then, but a lifetime of zombies, that's something else. Since none of us have played the game through (duh), we can't say to what depths his character will go, and knowing Naughty Dog, Joel will be a pretty solid character.
@Barcafalcon The console's limitations are pretty obvious. The always lacking AA is showing, the lower resolution of the texture is becoming pretty obvious, the sharp corners on every bit of geometry, and more. The graphical milestone of the playstation 4 will probably only mean to transfer the quality of The Witcher 2 on PC to consoles, probably a bit more. That said, it's still impressive that Naughty Dog are able to do this on the PS3.
@jurk182 You buy a license. What you own is a license that allows you to use the company's products under certain terms. When it comes to digital copies, said license is attached to a computer(s) or user account. If you want to share that product, buy a physical copy or share your account info with your friend. If you don't want to deal with this, don't buy digital media. They are going to lose that battle, plain and simple, because it's stupid and comes from ignorance.
@Mega_Loser @johnners2981 Well, on BioWare's defense, they were using Unreal Engine for Mass Effect, which is pretty darn powerful (look at the difference between each games), and they're using Frostbite 2 for Dragon Age 3. As for Dragon Age 2, I like to pretend that was an expansion pack.
@theend3r @holtrocks The next consoles will run The Witcher 2 at max. Consoles can be significantly less powerful than a PC to achieve similar results, for the first few years.
@Aleksanian The leap from Witcher 1 and 2 was immense, it's not gonna be as mind blowing for The Witcher 3, because the gap in tech is just not as massive. But it will still be pretty darn awesome.
@decoy1978 @cheesedumpling You would be wrong. The persons that work in the industry are passionate about their work and seek to push it further and further. It's possible that it would advance slower, and that without competition the price would be ridiculous, but we wouldn't be running on a N64, same can be said for cars. We ALWAYS try to improve on technology, regardless of competition.
