@The_Hitokiri @Total_mischief I have, and I know it's origins, unlike most actual christians. I know what it used to be and how it kept being edited with the advancement of society, until it became just the shadow of what it used to be, and yet the christians kept believing in it. It went from being an apple to being an apple shaped jacuzzi. It's bullshit, everyone that can look at it objectively knows that. In generations, it'll be even thinner, until, finally and thankfully, that big steaming pile of dung that passes as a holy book is no longer and our society becomes free of ignorance.
@nurnberg @Total_mischief Yes well, you can't say you're gonna kill someone either. Because it has no place in a modern, civilized society. Not my problem the US see free speech as a way to be violent and indecent.
@nurnberg The only restriction to freedom of speech is Slander and Defamation. I admit until recently we weren't allowed to do such things as parodies (like South Park), but we do now. We can speak, shout, protest about anything, as long as it's not hate speech. "Fags go to hell!" is not accepted, but "Homosexuality is an act of Satan!" is. Thankfully, we've bred out that sort of extremism, except in a few remote villages.
@Swoopalz @Total_mischief Oh I know, we have our own south to deal with. We're just lucky it's different problems. It feels like the US should almost be two different countries. The difference of opinion between the two sides is pretty extreme.
In my country, we have free speech, we have health care, we have a good education system. we've excluded religions from our politics, we don't allow civilians to have assault rifles, we don't brainwash our kids into thinking our flag is the most awesome thing in the world and that there's no important culture outside of ours, we don't have massacres, we play violent video games, and we make some of the best violent video games. Not saying we're better, but the US government needs to stop groping around blindly and get their shit together.
@tgwolf You should go off to an island, with all the people like you, and live your good religious life there. Heck, you could even go back to the old ways! Stone people you don't like, prohibit interracial marriage, allows sex slaves. I mean you have a great religion. In the meantime, we'll live our normal, peaceful lives.
