Manhunt is "ultra-violence". What this guy calls ultra-violence is just the same thing we find in movies rated PG-13 to R. 300, Sin City, Watchmen, Bourne, James Bond, Martial Arts movies...video games only have more and more in common with the movie industry. If you can't deal with a slow motion elbow strike to the throat then don't play action or fighting games.

Masters of the genre ? Obsidian games are buggy, unpolished messes. Maybe that will change with a south park game, but I keep telling myself that everytime an Obsidian game is about to be released. Alpha Protocol had a solid story, but the game was full of bugs, had one of the worst AI ever and a visual mess. It was a bunch of good ideas but poorly executed (as always with Obsidian). NwN2, KotOR 2, New Vegas...pretty much the same thing as their predecessors but with more bugs, that's pretty lousy game development right there.

Obsidian comes up with solid stories and characters, but it's time they hire 3D artists and programmers :/

Haha. These comments are full of fail. The Wii U is the newest console in the 7th generation, and it's arriving at the end of it, with better hardware than the PS3 and Xbox360. Don't cry because your 360 version will be "inferior". Your game versions have always been inferior to one or the other gaming platform. Some games look better on PS3, some on 360, and they've always looked better on the PC. Now the Wii U entered the competition and it's only logical that the PC is the only platform to beat it in terms of performances. It doesn't mean that your games are gonna be half-assed, they're just gonna have that extra "humff!" on the Wii U. Then the 8th generation will kick in and wipe the floor with the Wii U. If you're canceling your pre-orders because a new console with more horsepower came out, that's your loss, but you should reconsider.

@realguitarhero5 The last generation of console - especially the PS3 - were very high priced. The next generation of consoles could likely cost 800-900$. However if they keep it a reasonable price and include all those features then it could be worth it. It just has to be more durable than the last xbox. If everything you've got is in one console...then you're screwed if it breaks.

So for the next xbox to be successful it has to be the exact same thing as a dekstop PC. Without the part where you can change parts and upgrade it. Ok. Sure. Makes a lot of sense.

This isn't about video games portraying an average joe in his average joe's life. It's having super-powered characters like Alkatraz, the dude from Prototype, Master Chief, Kratos, etc, etc. However they're wrong when they say ordinary characters are disappearing or non existent. Nathan Drake from Uncharted is a good exemple. He's a treasure hunter, but other than a pretty average joe, and it's portrayed in the way he moves and climbs. You often get the feeling he'll trip over a vine, or hurt his toe on a rock. The debate is more about the game itself, not about the protagonist. There are more games that REQUIRE the protagonist to be powerful, it's part of the story and gameplay. You're not gonna get a Prototype gameplay by having an everyday plumber that has absolutely nothing special about him. Even her exemple on Half-Life is flawed. Gordon Freeman is suited up in a powerful suit that protects him against bullets and environmental hazards. He also beats the crap out of aliens with a crowbar.

Let me get this straight. The old testament states that you have to stone homosexuals. The old testament also states that you have to stone children disobeying their parents. Modern civilization's typical moron only kept the homosexual part. You can't just stick with the parts of the new and/or old testaments that suit you. You follow that stupid piece of paper or you don't. Like it or not, love is a matter of pheromones and homosexuality is natural (it's seen in almost every animal species). Bashing on ME3 for homosexuality just shows you're lack of worth as a human being. Second of...I think some people are hating only for the sake of it, however BioWare and EA did drop the ball on a few aspects of the game. That whole DLC crap (I can't continue my game right now because it won't connect to the EA servers, so can't access Lost Ashes and the game won't load). Also the journalist, as was stated above. She looks like a derp and she doesn't fit anywhere. Should've kept Emily Wong. Ever since BioWare joined EA there have been some pretty bad calls in their game developments...but at least it didn't ruin ME3 like it did DA2.

@Jer0m321 Problem here is, I think, that Crytek went, on a technical level, backwards on the PC version of Crysis 2 when compared to Crysis. The game doesn't even support dx10 on release, and dx11 patch isn't there yet. But this is not the consoles fault. It's Crytek's and EA's. They also did everything they could to pretty much ignore the first game's story which ,even if it wasn't great, was decent and had elements we all would've wanted in the second one - and they ignored that. Again, Crytek's fault.

@ packers91 Someone woke up on the wrong foot. If you buy a top-notch PC at the start of a generation...it's still going to run multiplatform games as long as those consoles come out and at the same quality. Granted a PC is more expensive, but if your only interest is gaming then you just don't get a gaming PC in the first place. Sounds like you're the console fanboy - and fanboys are all as bad as the other.
