When I am playing PC games, every 5-10mins my screen will flicker to the desktop for a brief second, and then go back to my game. It doesn't make my games unplayable, but it is just very annoying. I have updated my video drivers, Java, DirectX, Windows, and I even updated my virus definitions and did a full scan on my computer. I also tried doing a disk cleanup and defragment, which also didn't work (I didn't really expect it to by I figured it was worth trying). I usually have my cooling pad on to cool my laptop, so I don't think its an overheating issue. Do you guys have any ideas as to why my screen keeps flickering to the desktop? Thanks!

Haha alright thanks guys, I think I'm just gonna hope that Left 4 Dead 2 gets discounted today on the community vote, and then I'll buy the bundle (hopefully it should be around $12.50 for both of them together).

I've been wanting to purchase Left 4 Dead 1&2 for PC for quite some time now. The problem is I'm not sure if I want to buy the digital copies from Steam, or if I want the retail version with the box and disc from Amazon. There is currently a sale on Steam that sells them as a bundle for $15, or I could buy them separately on Amazon for $40.

I have never bought anything from Steam, and I'm not sure if I want to because I have heard that you can't play Steam games without an internet connection. Is this true? My gaming PC is a laptop, so there are times when I don't have internet available.

Also, since the Left 4 Dead series requires Steam, could I even play the retail version without internet access?

And another thing I'm wondering is, do many people still play the Left 4 Dead games online?

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm having a really hard time deciding how I want to purchase these games!

I'm looking into buying my first decent headset, and I want to get a good one without spending over $100. I would like to buy one that I can use for both my Xbox360 and my PC. I would prefer to have a wireless one, but wired is ok too. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good headset with these qualities? I was looking at maybe Turtle Beach X12's or X31's. Hey guys, I've been playing Need For Speed Underground 1 for a few days on my PC now, and I've noticed that my controller settings that I change in the game never seem to save. I'm not a huge fan of the default keyboard settings, so I like to adjust them to my own taste. The problem is, every time I start the game I have to change them all over again. It's not a huge problem but it's just a little annoying. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Every time I try to join a drift match in Forza 3, I get redirected into a full circuit match or just get disconnected. Is this happening to anyone else? Drifting was one of my favorite parts of Forza 3, and I really want to drift badly, can anyone help me?
