Would a GeForce 9800GT be any better than the GeForce 9800GTX+?

Does ur pc have a pci-e slot?

If then the card will work, dont get the 9800gtx, ur much better of getting the gts 250, its a rebranded 9800gtx with lower power consumption

The gts 250 is also 1 and a half inches shorter than a 9800 gtx+, much easier to fit in a dell computer! You probably will need a new power supply, im not sure what you have right now.

And about how much would the gts 250 cost me?

I'm very interested in buying an EVGA GeForce 9800GTX+ for my Dell Dimension 9200 desktop pc. I was just wondering if it was compatible with my pc or not. If it is not, would an EVGA GeForce 9800GT work better? I don't really want to buy a new power supply either... but if I have to I might. If I do have to buy a new power supply, could someone also please list the price of one that would work forme? If anyone could please answer this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Today, I was playing Rock Band 2 drums online onmy HDTV. The other player quit, and my entire system froze. So, I restarted it like I normally would and tried to play Rock Band 2 again. All of a sudden, something felt very different. My previous lag settings were set perfect for my HDTV, and it literally took me 2 years to find the perfect settings. Now somehow, the lag settings felt different. I looked at the settings, and they were exactly the same as they were before, but now the gameplay lag felt different. I don't know how to explain it. The only thing I can think of, is that my actual HDTV is making different amounts of lag. I have a 37" Olevia LCD HDTV that I got for $500 at WalMart on Black Friday 2 years ago. Ihave beenupset with this HDTV and the lag problems with it,but not that this is happened, I am extremely upset. Could someone please tell me what is going on here? I am almost certain that my HDTV is producing different amounts of lag almost every time I turn it on and off, or possibly my Xbox 360 may be producing lag, I have no idea. I just want to know what's going on, and how I can fix it. Please try to explain this to me, I would really appreciate it!!! Thanks.

turn down resolutions, see if that helps. my dad has the 7300le and it's pretty much garbage. you should look into buying a 9500gt, that should run sims 3 fine. paullywog

Today I bought Sims 3 (which I have been very excited about for a long time), I installed it, read the tutorial, and started the game. I immediately noticed a slight lag when it came to the graphics. Sims 3 is a game where you can't have this, as you are always moving the camera and such.

Here are the Minimum System Requirements for Sims 3:

Desktop PC (Windows XP + SP2):
CPU: 2ghz Pentium4 Processor or Amd Athlon 2000+ Processor
RAM: 1 GB of RAM
GPU: 128mb Video Card (GeForce FX 5900 or Radeon 9500)

Here are my CPU Specs:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU
6300 @ 1.86GHz (But it's rated at 2.72GHz from the Sims 3 requirement check software on the official Sims 3 website)
1.86GHz, 3.00GB of RAM
GeForce 7300LE Video Card
And I'm not exactly sure of my sounds specs but I know that has nothing to do with the graphics skipping.

So if anyone could help me with this and tell me how to make this game run better, I would greatly appreciate it. I have already tried putting all the game options to Low and Off, I was running the game at the bare minimum and it still skipped. Any ideas or thoughts at all are greatly appreciated, and thanks for reading this and possibly helping!!!

Well if you don't mind spending a lot of money for a drum set for Rock Band. Then go with the Ion drum set. I've been playing on one since they came out and I have had no problems. The pads and cymbals respond really well and you can adjust what angles you want the pads and cymbals.

Yeah I would if I could but $300 is too much for an accessory in my opinion, thats almost as much as the system itself lol.

Yeah I understand, took me about 3 pay checks just to buy the thing. But in your situation the rock band 2 drums are good but also buy the cymbal pack. They make it look better, and the game play is a lot more fun with them

Ok lol. I was really thinking about buying them anyway bu now that you say this I'm pretty sure I will buy them. As long as my drums arent faulty out of the box or anything.

Hey guys, I've been debating on what new type of Rock Band drum kit I should get. My Rock Band 1 kit has broken 3 times now and I'm tired of it. I just want to know which kit has the most bang for it's buck and which will last the longest. I also have problems with lag on my HDTV with Rock Band and Guitar Hero, so I'm kind of skeptical about spending a lot of money on this. I just want to make the best choice possible and make sure that I don't regret it. I would like to have cymbals, but if I would be better with the GoodWood Mods drum kit which doesn't support them, I would still be satisfied. Please let me know your thoughts, and thanks!
