Peter Moore left for location reasons, and money obviously. FASA werent great, its not as if M$ lost them, more like got rid of them. Bungie havent gone anywhere, their games will more than likely remain 360 exclusive. M$ never had Bizarre, so how could they loose them. Sure they made PGR games exclusive, but they were also making The Club multiplatform. And again, M$ never had Bioware. Mass Effect will still be exclusive to the 360, and the next two will still release on the 360 platform, so.......

considering its within poo flinging distance of both Crysis and UT3, its got some serious competition during that time... Kind of like how any game released within a 2 month time span of HL2 was overlooked because it was too close to the behemoth of HL2.

Nah... I don't think so... GeoW doesn't really have to "prove itself". Yeah, it's being released around the time of some heavy hitters for PC, but it already has the reputation of being an amazingly fun game. So, imo, it doesn't have to do anything special that makes it stand out more than Crysis or UT3, it will be bought and played the way it is.

If it was a upcoming new release for the first time, I would agree with you. It's kind of like how HAZE (when it was multi) is being released around the time of UT3 and Halo3. Likely it'll get overlooked, but since Gears is already known to be awesome, I think it'll still sell very well.
