Finally. The always online thing was pretty much the only reason I haven't gotten the game. That and I am usually hesitant to buy anything from Satan's lapdog aka EA.
@engenderreality @Tseng @noladem504 Seriously guy? This is directly below your response but I'll paste it up here anyway: "That's great, but I'm talking about near daily press releases here, not grandstanding at a conference (they all do that)."
@noladem504 @Tseng I don't care that they are doing it, I care about the AMOUNT. It's like everyday with M$. "We have better launch titles!" "It's not all about system specs!" Meanwhile Sony releases a comparable statement once a week, at the most, and it tends to contain new information and not simply "We are better then them!" The fact they feel the need to release statements daily about how awesome their system is makes me think they are trying too hard. Also, don't presume to put words in my mouth, you don't know anything about me. If they were quiet, I wouldn't be saying anything because it wouldn't be on my radar, and I wouldn't have so many negative M$ thoughts jumbling around in my head.
The fact that they have to constantly (almost daily it seems) belittle the competition or try and downplay positive aspects of other consoles makes me think they are insecure and have no real faith in their own product. That might not be the case, that's just what it seems like from my perspective.
What's with this "GTA V isn't bad but everyone needs to stop overrating it!" rhetoric? It's not hype if they actually feel that way about the game, you understand? They have played it, they think it is the best game ever, you disagree. They aren't fanboys and you aren't a 'true gamer', you just have diverging opinions. So you don't think it deserves a 9? Great, go write a review and counter the points made in ones that gave it a 9. But don't pretend like your opinion is worth more than someone else's.
@sunbeam4 Try to find an overlay of GTA IV's map on this one. The entire city of Los Santos is nearly as big as Liberty City. If this map is small, then GTA IV's map is tiny...
