@LesserAngel Than nothing is art. Movies, music, books, paintings, these are all things created by the artist not only to entertain and make people think, but to make money. Now, when the people making the game are making it ONLY to rake in cash, then your point is valid. But someone can want to create something thought provoking and beautiful AND make money.
@y3ivan That's funny, cause I am running it on GTX 460's in SLI and every time I enter the world map there is about 2 solid minutes of slowdown due to slow texture streaming.
@mustained13 What does that have to do with his latest outing being Buggy as hell? Yes, he is one of the most respected devs in the business, but he is saying gaming is 'all about the experience' and Rage is practically broken on PC.
This coming from the guy who helped create Rage, a game that has been out for nearly a year and is STILL experiencing heavy texture issues for the PC. Take your own advice before telling other companies what they should and shouldn't be doing.
Nothing new here. People have been saying this for ages. The gladiator battles are too inhuman and violent. Shakespeare's plays are too sexual. Rap lyrics glorify gang violence. Movies are too gory. And now its games. News flash, humans are intrigued and obsessed with the morbid and disturbing, that isn't going to change anytime soon. And as others have said, if you don't like it, stay away from it.
@MidnightMeteor Wasn't talking to you guy. If you look at my second comment it is directed at HolyCocaCola. Might want to take your own advice on this one.
@HolyCocaCola I suppose I can't speak for everyone, but I feel the majority of gamers as well as reviewers would agree with me. But I suppose some people don't enjoy their games...for some reason.
@MidnightMeteor The difference being R* games have never let fans down, and they have always been tight lipped on their current projects. Look back through their history and they never give the public much if any information until about a year from release.
I wouldn't have believed it if you told me so 5 or 6 years ago, but all respect I had for this man has slowly been chipped away by his subtle insanity and unyielding arrogance that he can actually create and deliver on something that he promises. And now this nonsense....
