Greetings,
I'm trying to figure out the name of a movie about a poor family that I can barely remember. Here is what I know:
There is a scene where a father makes his son a pair of shoes. The boy gets made fun of for these shoes. There is also a scene where the boy gets a terrible eye infection. The mother is also seen begging for scraps and is only able to get a fish head.
I think there is also another scene where someone offers a job for, "A dollar a day." I also think the boy takes a job in a mine of some sort... this causes the eye infection.
Any thoughts?
Thank you,
Turtlecream
Just because something isn't broken doesn't mean it can't be improved. Modern Warfare 3 is basically a $60 expansion.
As an example, look at Diablo... the original was by no means broken, but Diablo II substantially improved the gameplay experience. Other examples are StarCraft II, the Witcher II, and hopefully Guild Wars 2.
Saying, "It's not broken" seems to be a poor excuse for consistently recycled gameplay. Agree? Disagree?
I have wanted to be a police officer for as long as I can remember. I went to college to obtain a Bachelor of Criminal Justice. I have no drug history, I was never arrested, I never committed a serious crime, and I've never even had a speeding ticket. Even throughout high school I understood the importance of maintaining a clean record.
I applied for a local department and went through the application process. When I got to the polygraph, there was an issue because the examiner said I consistently had a reaction to the question, "Have you ever committed a serious sexual crime?" These serious sexual crimes included rape and having sex with a dead body.
I am absolutely certain that I never did anything like that ever in my entire life. I probably would not have even bothered applying If I ever committed such a crime. Thankfully, the examiner assured the reactions were probably not a big deal, and that I would most likely be able to retake the exam to clear up the discrepancy. This made me feel better - I thought, "I will just take the test again and everything will be fine."
This did not happen - I never received a second chance, and because passing a polygraph was absolutely required to be hired, I opened an envelope containing a rejection letter this morning. I am going to apply at other departments now, but I know that when I do they will want to know where else I applied and why I was rejected. I will also need to sign an information release form so they will have access to the polygraph results.
Although not being hired is upsetting, what is truly devastating is that I was not given a second chance. I cannot clear my name. No department is going to want to hire someone suspected of committing such serious crimes, and because of that, my chances of obtaining a law enforcement career are being ruined.
What should I do? Should I just apply to other agencies and hope for the best? How can I assure other agencies the polygraph results are wrong?
Thanks...
Your grandfather is sick and will probably not live for more than a few months. He wants you to purchase $20 worth of lottery tickets for him every week in the hopes he will win the $100,000,000 jackpot.
ok i get it now. but yeah a clean install wil probly fix this.pokemondude2012
Ok... I'll see if the scan solves the problem, and then check the connections, and then reinstall if none of that works. Thanks.
[QUOTE="Turtlecream"][QUOTE="pokemondude2012"]doesnt sound like a mobo issue. more like a hdd issue. Check your connections. pokemondude2012
A few weeks ago, Windows crashed and when I tried to restart I saw "disk boot failure." I could not get Windows to boot so I got a new hard drive. The new hard drive was working fine until Windows crashed once more and I got a similar "disk boot error" message. I was able to get it running again, though.
I figured the motherboard was causing the issue so I got a new one. Now, for some reason, this check disk scan started automatically. I will check the connections when the scan completes; I am hoping I was not unlucky enough to get a faulty hard drive or motherboard.
You should of done some research before getting a new mobo....Oh, I forgot to mention that I wanted to get a new motherboard anyway. I was getting a new processor and ram so I needed a compatible mobo.

Have you tried to repair windows? 04dcarraher
The scan is still going through... I was thinking about interrupting it but I'll just let it finish.
Greetings,
I just got a new motherboard and put it into my PC. I powered up my PC and everything seemed fine until it began booting. The motherboard logo appeared and the Windows logo appeared, but right before booting into Windows it automatically began this "chkdsk" scan. I am wondering whether this is normal and if I should be concerned, because it is taking forever.
Thank you,
Turtlecream
