[QUOTE="HarlockJC"]Your missing some great games by not playing the old FFs. I am playing FF3 right now on the DS still an amazing game after all this time.The__MCP

I didn't say it wasn't a good game, just the relic fanboys who refuse to believe any FF made after the cartridge days is a great game.

you're a fool who speaks that which he knows nothing about. I can not urge you to play the early final fantasies... 1 2 and 3 (1 4 and 6) as they are above you, if you can, however, disengage yourself from preconceptions about what a game should be... and just take what those games offer you... you'd find out that they are infinitely more enjoyable and exciting than their later followers-on. You also need to grow some experience... which is time.

OMFG I really hate the wii but I have to admit something like this is an impressive use of the wii's capabilities... and actually seeing a developer make this kind of effort really makes me think more kindly on the little white box. More! I want much more! And then I'll buy a wii. Though I see myself already going over to my mate's to play this every day

I said it in the other thread, and I'll say it again here:

"And people call the Wiimote a gimmick."

Seriously, folks, a little perspective would be nice. None of these features even needs Home.

mjarantilla

the difference is I guess that Wiimote is a piece of hardware and Home is software... maybe that means something to you... and maybe not. Either way I stick with my strance that Wiimote.

5) yes I agree wholeheartedly... nintendo really **** me off with that stuff... they stick marios face on everything to make it sell better... typical corporation tactic and has made me hate mario

4) yes! totally! and more annoying is that he never even gets anything off peach. I think in SMB2 he got a peck on the cheek and that was pretty risque for the time. the undertone of this point of course is the cyclical nature of mario... in that the story never changes...

3) lol never seen bee mario before... but the sight of it is insulting. Not quite as insulting as when Link became a wolf in twilight princess... I really felt disgusted during those parts of the game. pain and misery.

2) luigi sucks... he's not a character! mario is not a character either. In fact none of them are characters. They're just sprites (now images I guess) with soundbytes attached. And that vague notion that they're plumbers seems to pervade but its not like that ever comes into play (oh right the pipes very good nintendo)

1) having never played super mario galaxy... i am unaware as to the factual bearing of this point... though casting my mind back to mario 64... I did think his vocalisings were a little silly. Its the only sort of vocalisation you hear in the whole game except bowsers HAHAHA and those pink things make some electronic noise... in fact that whole game disturbed me... peach was the freakiest... scary ghost girl trapped in a wall wtf? Is this mario or is this stir of the echoes?

You could say Halo 3 was casual, but it is definitely a hardcore game is just has CASUAL APPEAL, like sports games. There is a difference between a hardcore game with casual appeal and being a casual game. Mini-games/casual games are only going to satisfy casuals, sports game can satisfy both hardcore and casuals if they have enough depth.

Wii has some hardcore games, but many of its quality games are also casual and have no appeal to a hardcore gamer such as myself. PS3 and 360 both have libraries with pretty much total hardcore appeal, with casual appeal as the side effect.

clone01

Wait Wait Wait, Hardcore games can appeal to casuals, but casual games can't appeal to hardcore gamers?

Yay for double standards!

Good lord, none of you sheepkids even have a grasp on what a hardcore gamer is. They expect a certain amount of depth from their games. If you are a serious gamer then you want to be rewarded for your dedication. Now a hardcore game can be made accessible to anyone but have a lot of depth. A casual game is made to be simple and accessible but also be shallow, and that simply doesn't reward what a true hardcore gamer would want.

nor do you. Tetris is one of the most casual games ever created, yet there are worldwide, elite level players as well as grandmas and kids that play it on DS and cell phones. Street Fighter 2 can be a complete button masher, then again there are tournaments for world class level players that practice for hours a day. there are people that try to break world records in minesweeper.

yet tetris had exceptional genius... but I don't see a game on wii with tetris-genius yet...

Just shut the F#$k up and play your F&#^$*G consoles.

Suliman-Uchia

can you stop making your anti argument threads... we all know system wars is stupid, pointless, annoying... yet its pretty obnoxious for a little fool like you to think you have the right to tell everyone to stop... just dont come to system wars if you don't like it... noone cares that the arguments are giving you bad vibes... and this is a pointless thing to say

go back to your ANIME rofl... ahahhaha anime...

go forth SAMURAI NINJA SAN! and make war on the people of SYSTAM WOR!

Because that's not what Wii owners demand.

Make a pretty Xbox 360 game = Huge sales.

Make a pretty Wii game = Who cares?

Eponique

the only possible way that could happen is if said pretty game comes out in a year from now when wii will be a forgotten bad joke... otherwise you lovely ninty fans will never stop going on about it... either way its never going to happen...

[QUOTE="Heydanbud92"][QUOTE="ogvampire"][QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]

[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]People like to pick on a console thats outselling theirs, without as many AAA titles. Big whoop.ogvampire

The Wii has the fewest amount of AAAs.

you make it sound as if people can only purchase or enjoy AAA games.

i put more hours in ssbm (AA) than any other game i have ever played except for CS

he just stated a simple fact. look at this guy getting all defensive lol

fact? what facts? since when have opinions become facts?

any and every review is an opinion. FACT

yet AAA is a defined term in the context of system wars... representative of games with a definitive minimum review score on a defined review site... therefore the statement that wii has the least AAA games is infact fact. TRUTH... er... fact.
