The zombies were incredibly fast, they almost skidded around the corner, Josie took a few shots, a couple of zombies hit the floor, but still trying to keep the same speed they got back up, lunging forwards, they were determined to get her. Josie began to sprint down a corridor, the zombies were catching up behind her, she came to a corner and slid into it, raising her gun. Her jaw dropped when she saw four zombies tearing apart another human body, their mouths slurping the blood from the victims throat . One looked up and started to get up, the rest followed, it stumbled for a second, and then began to lunge at Josie, she turned and ran the other way, and realised the zombies were there too. Josie then pushed past the zombies and over the dead victim. She kept running down the corridors, they didn't end. Every five seconds she looked back, to see more and more joining the massive group of zombies.
She was finally coming close to the end of the corridor, and reached two doors, she had to make her mind up quickly, the zombies were seconds away, they were still sprinting. Josie tried the doors, neither of them worked, she then remembered the code. 1968, as she input the code she panicked, a red light flashing above the door with a beeping noise, she tried again, it didn't work, the light flashed and the beeping got louder, the zombies were within three feet of her when the door suddenly opened, she shut it behind her, and heard the slam off bodies against the door. She kept her gun fixed on the door, then there was no more noise. She lowered her gun, slowly turning around to look at the room. The room held many wires, they were everywhere, all sorts of complicated technology, all linked to one huge case. On top of it was a screen with binary code that she just didn't understand. There was four slots with something inside them, quite big, about the size of a video cassette.
The screen started flashing, the green code was now red, a light was flashing in the room, around the back of the box was another screen, much easier for Josie to understand as on it was 'Automatic Override Failure'. She hadn't touched anything in the room, but then it came to her. Somebody was hacking into the system, she didn't know why, or what the data on it was about, but she knew it must've been important. The alarm stopped, the screen was back to normal. Suddenly the lights went out. The door opened itself, and then closed, the lights came back on again. Then the door opened again, but closed again. The lights went again, and then Josie's radio began to crackle. She heard strange, ghostly voices. Then a low rumble, and heard the sound of shutters raising. Josie left the room and took a look around. The zombies had disappeared, but all those perfectly white walls were smeared with blood. The lights in the ceiling were hanging down, there was glass all over the floor.
30 Minutes After The Clean Up Teams Landed
"...and that's when I made my way back to this room and you showed up." Chester, the newest addition to Bravo realised something, "Wait, so somebody hacked Umbrella's system? Do you think that could explain all that weird **** that went on earlier?" Miller looked at Simon, who nodded. "Well it could be, someone could have out something into the system, think about it, from this piece of kit the whole place is run. That means the door codes, the lights, the cameras, everything that lives off that system could be hacked. Now its made so when you input a specific code, the door will open and lock when you close it. These things could change." Chester thought about it for a minute, "So what are you suggesting?" Simon smiled as Miller looked at him again. "I'm suggesting there's a ghost in the system. Which means it does whatever it wants to do..." Josie finally realised what it was all about, but now wanted to know who and why, what did they want to achieve from it. Chester understood it, but one thing still bugged him. "So what were those voices on the radios?" Miller looked at Simon again, but this time Simon didn't show any expression on his face. "Well we really don't know, I guess it could be that Umbrella's system allows them to send an outgoing signal to everyone's radio." Josie realised it happened to her too, but she didn't have any Umbrella equipment, her radio was the R.P.D's. "Well my radio isn't Umbrella's, yet I still got the creepy voices." Everyone went silent, unable to come up with any possible theories. Bravo didn't have a clear goal, and it was just a matter of waiting for the other teams to meet them, it was scary to think about the voices, Josie couldn't stop thinking about it, what the hell could it be...
