Your right, Goldeneye isnt the best FPS ever, Perfect Dark usurped it 10 fold.

By modern standards, Perfect Dark sucks. Breath in, breath out, let the nostalgia go, and realize - it is not that special anymore.
The first time I played PD and Goldeneye was in 2005. Yet they're still my favourite FPSs. Why? Because:-
1) Both of these games have amazing level design. Something that seems that seems to get brushed aside nowadays.
2). Great replay value. The damn cheats actually made want to play again! (something rare for me).
3). Control of the Hand. In most FPS's to look up or down, it seems the character is physically bending and making the motion stiffer than it should be. In PD and Goldeneye, you actually contol the hand in aim mode, not the arm.
4). Great multiplayers. Let's not argue here. PD basically set the standard for split screen FPS multiplayer. It's so feature packed, and other than Timesplitters's multiplayer, I think few have matched it with features (console-wise). Goldeneye's multiplayer is very admirable too, but nowhere as comprehensive.
5). Brilliant sound in each game. I love the tunes and the sound effects still pack a punch.
6). Spot on controls. It's hardly a secret with me, but I don't like dual analogue. It looks and feels unatural seeing movement and turning on different sticks. Goldeneye and PD arguably perfected single-analogue controls.
Sure, with all the advancements in AI, physics and graphics, I can see why people don't like these games today. But to write these games off completely goes beyond belief. Maybe I am nostalgic, but Pefect Dark most definitely does not suck. The fact that it's still Gamespot's highest rated first-person shooter must say something for it's quality.

they called the wii a gimmick and fad before it came out, yet here we are 1 1/2 years later and its still sold out at most places.
this "fad" is trouncing the ps3 and 360 in sales. fanboys always seem to be in denial about something
The ps3 and 360 have sold almost 30 millon to gamers. The Wii has sold 20+ million to the general public. Look at it's sales. Mario and Sonic Olympics 5 million+ already  These games will keep the public happy for a couple years before they move on. Of course the Wii has it's hardcore gamers but they don't stack up to the 360 and Ps3s
The way I see it, the Wii isn't a gaming system, it's a toy, a toy that appeals to ALL ages so of course it sells.
If you really cared about "hardcore" gaming, you should've got a PC which has the most unique genres and longest lasting games. Wii is a TRUE console and I think it has more right to be called such than the 360 or PS3.
what makes a true console?
The ability to play games is a good start. The reason I said that was because Wii was designed primarily for playing games. The 360 and PS3, in my opinion, seem to put as much or the same focus on media functionality as well gaming. However, that doesn't stop them being consoles, either. I do find it hard to believe people can not consider a Wii a console, when it was designed to play games.

No, there's also Battletoads and Viva Pinata.
Banjo Kazooie 3 is already set for release later this year.
That's what I'm saying though. Banjo has already been announced and it's release date draws nigh. It's highly likely that it's the next Rare game to get a sequel.
Besides Banjo.
That's cheating. But I'll say KI3, but hoping for Conker.
No it's not. What's your problem? :|
I'm talking about games THAT HAVE YET TO BE ANNOUNCED. Why is that so hard to understand!?
I thought they already said they were going to make a Perfect Dark Zero 2? Wouldn't a Perfect Dark Zero 2 be sort of like a Perfect Dark One? Oh wait, that game already came out.

I knew I had to be more specific :P (damn UK) Anyway in the Netherlands it isn't seen as a nerdy thing. Games like counter strike, crysis, battlefield, CoD2, and enemy territory are much more popular than most console games. Hell the only console game that has caught attention were Halo 3 and CoD4.
If only that was the case here .... UK has such bad cultural influences, whats even worse is American influence gets stronger all the time.
Honestly, other than its Vibrant History..... its gotta be one of the most boring places ever, I may be taking it for granted through others peoples eyes but damn ....
The UK isn't leaning on American influences, it's just that American influences are parasitic.
