Elected GOPers believe in science about as much as they like President Obama. :P

But honestly this is what you wind up with when you say no to education.

Unrelated: You were absolutely correct -- Perry is out-Tea Partying Michele Bachmann.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/149213/Tea-Party-Supporters-Backing-Perry-GOP-Nomination.aspx

(GS won't let me link. not sure how to get around it)

I think most people who have "tea party" leanings can't help but love a Texan conservative. They're so thoroughly progra...inspired by the machismo stuff. Take for example airshocker's inexplicable admiration (no offense airshocker) for the guy. Bachmann can't really withstand a "cowboy" from Texas politically, her image isn't one that comes off as stronger than Perry's. Romney and pretty much every other contender for the nomination have this problem as well, so if they don't stop beating up on Obama and start tearing at one another, Perry is just going to stomp them with his so-called Jobs message (which is a bleak future for the rest of America if weget jobs like the ones that popped up in Texas).

For some reason nobody can link. GS is teh suxxors. I really wish they would upgrade their Forum code, seeing as this is basically the same code they've been using for like nearly a decade.

She is ugly. That can be attributed to age. Same for Bachmann, Palin, Pelosi etc. Wrinkles galore.

coolbeans90

Well in so many words: she looks her age. I don't count that as ugly, couldn't expect otherwise out of a woman that old.

Romney was just pandering to the crowd. He knew what the audience wanted to hear, and delivered.

bbkkristian

Its a smart move. I approve.

So you approve of Flippety-Floppety Mittens saying what you want to hear and believing/doing otherwise? Mitt doesn't have a genuine bone in his body.

[QUOTE="OrkHammer007"]Of course Clinton skimped on the vacation days...

1.) Look what he was married to. Would you want to spend more "quality time" with that?

2.) It would look suspicious if all of those female interns followed him on vaction all the time... ;)

OrkHammer007

I don't really see what is supposed to be so ugly about Hillary Clinton.

I mean, she looked decent when she was younger (not gorgeous, but decent), and nowadays she doesn't look any worse than most 60+ year old women out there.

You really think she doesn't look repulsive...

...must be we have different taste in women. :?

I noticed no one touched the second point.

That's f***ed up man...

But yeah I agree Hillary isn't ugly by any standard (unless you're a Tea Party Republican, then it doesn't matter if it wereaBar Rafaeli look alike if she was a Democrat/Non-Republican they'd say she was ugly).

[QUOTE="QuistisTrepe_"]

Only a true partisan would believe this.

QuistisTrepe_

Or someone who has a different opinion than you.

Opinion has nothing to do with it, Obama is a failed president, there's just no arguing around it.

Um, just because you say it does not make it true. Conservatives repeat the same exact line because they are afraid of his success.

President Obama led the effort stopped the economy from hitting rock bottom with the Stimulus (which the Tea Partiers elected in 2010 have done everything they can to stagnate the economic progress since culminating in the Debt Ceiling FOOLISHNESS), KILLED Osama bin Laden, is successfully fighting with the winning NATO coalition in Libya, passed the PPACA which will reduce the deficit and get more people access to healthcare, and has brought America back into a positive light globally. President Obama is a very successful president, he just has to deal with theeconomic catastrophe created and prolonged by Republicans.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

[QUOTE="DevilMightCry"]I don't care that Obama takes that much time off. What is more scary is that he accumulated more debt in 2 years than it did Bush in 8. Talk about utter failure. Especially since this moron in the white house claims HE saved the economy from a depression. Exactly how? Obama is turning out to be worse than Bush in every possible way other than being more eloquent.Ace6301

:| Ok no he did not.. That huge leap in debt the first few months he was in office, nothing big passed.. What did happen was he included the costs of both wars that the Bush adminstration swept under the carpet to be put into the debt count.. Thats right that debt clock under the Bush adminstration did not include the costs of the Iraq or Afghanistan war before Obama.

This is indeed true. The wars were classed as emergency spending and because of that weren't counted against the debt until Obama changed those loopholes to better represent the debt. So far Obama is doing a much better job than Bush did, even with all the roadblocking that's happening. He's not great or anything but he is better than the last guy.

Great posts, but if after all of this time conservatives still believe these type of statements then there isn't any saving them.

I can't support a program that increases the size of government and ignores the underlying problem: We aren't getting enough revenue from corporations that can afford it. I think we can achieve the same thing---or deam near enough---by fixing our tax code.

airshocker

I think conservative resistance to and fear ofthe growth and/or use of government is in many cases unfounded. The size of government is a NON-ISSUE. It is the government's purpose and use that is the issue, if it's raw sizewerethe issue conservatives should be pleading to bust these corporate trusts to increase competition. The only way to properly help out small business is to create specific guidelines meant to help only small fry businesses and to prevent the anti-competitive activities of big wig corporations.

Sidenote: I still don't get why you like Perry. Many of the things you don't like are on his record.

Ahh we are back to democrats winning on the simple campagian of 'Hey we are not republicans'.

EasyStreet

Naw, it doesn't boil down like that. Actually, where did you even draw that idea from? This is a Republican talking this non-sense, no Democrat involved.
