[QUOTE="Gamingclone"]

Of course MMO's are possible on consoles, but it hasnt happened yet because....

Well because when you are playing a MMO on PC, all the people that are playing with you have different computers (PCs; Xp, Vixta, W7, Mac, etc) and all of those people can play together. But with consoles, have you ever seen a Multiplate with online where you were able to play with people from both the PS3's and 360's (and sometimes Wii's) online communities? without having to be on that communities console? I dont think you have (idk maybe I missed a game that can actually do that...) Why cant you do it? well besides the occational technical issue, the only real reason is because Sony, M$, and Ninty want to sheild their communties from the other 2 (or the other one if the Wii isnt involved).

Like I have a perfect example. Which is Runescape, beside it being a love hate game, it is still pretty good. Anyway, to my knowledge, Jagex has said multiple times for like the past 3-4 years that they have been trying to make a console verson of RS. They already have the game just about ready for the consoles, except for that they keep running into the same problem. The big 3 dont want to allow their users that will be playing RS to be able to communicate/ play with other users from the other 2 console online communities. So Jagex is saying that basicly, their plans to consolize RS is on hold till the big 3 feel a little more open minded.

So that is the main reason why we havent seen Major MMO's come to consoles.

evilross

There is a major MMO on consoles, its been there for a very long time. Final Fantasy XI

And yes, people on PS2, Xbox 360, and PC all play together on the same servers regardless of what system they play the game on.

Apparently, for whatever reason, Final Fantasy 11 doesn't count. lol

All I know is, I would love for Guild Wars 2 to go to console(s), specifically the PS3. There is a good chance of it happening, but Lets keep our fingers crossed just to be sure. :)

You still have to explain why...the burden of proof is on you. It's not a "fact" since you aren't, in fact, proving anything if you don't mention a significant amount of games. Which you didn't.

N30F3N1X

I showed you 2 good games already, and all I needed was 1.....Burden met, my friend....

Sorry you didn't like the results.

But I'll repeat:

Low end PC's that play this generation's retail games are less powerful than consoles.

Nothing you or anyone can do to change this fact.....it is what it is.

So much for the ps3 me2 version being the definitive.

Sandvichman

Well, it still is. Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 has the more advanced engine, and the game with all of the DLC is all on one BluRay disk.

There's no question that BluRay > DVD because BluRay's are difficult to scratch....but we'll save that for another time.

All new copy's of ME2 came with a ket to access the cerberus network. It gave us seom free missions and Zaheedm etc. Nothing special, but nice additions.

This Comic will only be accessed through the Cerebus Network, so only those who purchased the game new can download it ... Unless they want to buy access to the Cerberus network for 800 points.

-Snooze-

Thank you.

I understand now.

The keys were already in existence for 2010 Mass Effect 2 versions.

Calling it Cerberus is just a gimmick term for CD Key.

Got it now.

There are some questions about this that bear answering....

From what I read, the Mass Effect comic on the PS3 will be available via a password key like many of EA's other games.

So how are XBOX 360 Mass Effect 2 users gonna get this comic if they already own and perhaps traded or bought this game from Gamestop?

Is this comic only going to be available for new 2011 versions of Mass Effect 2 leaving all of the other 2010 versions requiring a $10 purchase for the comic?

I'm curious how they are going to make this happen.

EDIT IN:

Wait, did new 2010 XBOX 360 versions of Mass Effect 2 come with password keys?

If so, what in game content did those key's provide?

So the thing that cows were proud was taken away from them? Still, I love my ME1 but it is good that pc and 360 owners have that. Miroku32

Taken away?

I dont' think anything was taken away.

Quite the opposite in fact, considering that they Bioware is giving everyone the opportunity to play the comic.....that's an addition, is it not?

I know what, you're wrong. As shown by the examples I provided following your own logic, you are UTTERLY wrong.

Also, you still have to explain why PC has Crysis graphics while consoles can't even dream about them.

N30F3N1X

Your big red letters simply put words in my mouth....Rather, you either misunderstood what I said or are taking it out of context, either by accident or on purpose. Doesn't matter, because I stand by what I said...but I don't stand by what YOU say.

Once again...

The lowest end PC's that play this generations retail games are less powerful than consoles.

FACT. PERIOD. Night Night. ;)

[QUOTE="Wasdie"]

Of course they "can" work on them, but really do you want to have to sacrifice things for them to work?

N30F3N1X

What sacrifice?

Consoles at their core are basically PC's themselves, sans Windows. They even have USB ports and K/M support.

As a matter of fact, Consoles aren't even the "least common denominator".....PC's are.

Sure, at the high end PC's are surely the best, but people seem to convieniently forget that developers construct their games with low end PC's in mind too just so they can sell their game, and consoles are better than those.

So I ask....What sacrifice are you refering to?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entailment

Sorry...that isn't what I said, nor my implication.

I implied that consoles are more powerful than low end PC's for this generation's games, and that's exactly what I meant.

And you know what? I'm right.

Good night. :)

In general, Xbox 360's 1 PPE @ 3.2Ghz preforms like 1 PowerPC 970/G5 @ 1.6Ghz.

ronvalencia

A common misconception is that the PowerPC 970 was the core in IBM's Xenon processor in Microsoft's Xbox 360, but this is false.

That processor is using cores similar to the Power Processing Element (PPE) in the Cell microprocessor.

Funny, I could swear your original point was that PCs were holding back consoles. Seems like this is a fine example of denial at work ;)

N30F3N1X

No....I never said PC's were holding back consoles.

Apparently you misunderstood.
