How about the $64 question. Does TOR rely a lot on the keyboard? That can kill TOR's prospects on the PS3 right there since keyboards are not PS3 standard equipment.HuusAskingEven if it did "use alot of keyboard", I still don't see the problem. PS3 controlers have 4 face buttons and 4 shoulders....8. then you you've got the d pad which is 4 sets of 8......So, 32 key maps. Or you can even use a wheel interface like they did for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Or, how about a 3rd option there you shoulder your spell list sets, left and right on the shoulder buttons. How about a 4th option where you can simply use a Keyboard and Mouse. Why is this rocket science?

Warhammer? That MMORPG both sucked and flopped. Of course they weren't gonna release that on any console.....thank Goodness. What is the other one?[QUOTE="Unnatural101"][QUOTE="cobrax55"]EA has released multiple high profile MMO's this gen...how many have have been on consoles....0 This is all seriously based off absolutly nothing.cobrax55
Both Warhammer and LOTRO did very well, both criticlly and sales wise.
and again, you might want to offer up actuall cohearent reasons why they would port it. Alll of what you have said so far is absolutly meaningless.
The fact that Mass Effect 2 is being ported to the PS3 means nothing whatsoever. and the game being published by EA means nothing either, since they do lots of PC exclusives, especially among MMO's.
Your going to have to do a lot better then Uncharted Waters:lol: as your reason as to why TOR will be ported.
They aren't doing too well if they've had to go or are planning free 2 play models. Last I heard Warhammer devs, Mythic, is in disarray and most had to be layed off. My apologies for implying Warhammer flopped critically. On that I was clearly wrong. My assumptions were based off of a whole lot of people from IGN that said the game sucked. Still....Commercially, it doesn't look like a great success....on that, I'm definitely not backing down.EA has released multiple high profile MMO's this gen...how many have have been on consoles....0 This is all seriously based off absolutly nothing.cobrax55Warhammer? Ubisoft: PC piracy cannibalising console salesThis article is over 2 years old and was referencing END WAR, which did get released on PC.Ubisoft Shanghai's creative director Michael de Plater has said that piracy is killing the PC gaming market.
"To be honest, if PC wasn't pirated to hell and back, there'd probably be a PC version coming out the same day as the other two," he told VG247.
"But at the moment, if you release the PC version, essentially what you're doing is letting people have a free version that they rip off instead of a purchased version. Piracy's basically killing PC."
"You know, the level of piracy that you get with the PC just cannibalises the others, because people just steal that version," he said.
Piracy seems to be the most important concern for those developers who won't make their games happen on Pc.
do you guys think that piracy is really the main reason why some multiplats aren't released for Pc as well? or you got any other theories as to why those devs are reluctant to do so?

Bioware didnt lie, they said what they did knowing what they did at that time. Mass Effect 2 was already on consoles, its not like it was a PC game designed for a different interface and for a genre that pretty much doesnt exist on consoles. I dont know why you keep saying all of this like its of some sort of importance.cobrax55Yes they did...they lied. They knew all along Mass Effect 2 was gonna be on the PS3. But that and the Uncharted Waters info by itself isn't of great importance by itself, but when you take in everything, then the picture becomes more clear. 1. Bioware lies 2. PC based MMORPG(s) already exists on the PS3 3. EA loves consoles. 4. EA is buddy buddy with Sony 5. EA has gone on record to say they want MMO's on consoles. 6. EA has high aspirations for SW: TOR 7. 50+ million user install base on the PS3 at TOR's launch with low MMORPG competition 8. EA has the proper network infrastucture to do MMO's...an "autonomous" PS3 infrastructure that runs away from PSN The bottom line is, when you put all of that together and understand all of said info, it makes it much easier to make the prediction.
That MMO doesnt even resemble any Western PC MMO, nor TOR. I really have no idea why you keep posting that? Have you ever actualy played an MMO Before? or does it contend you just to post random crap that has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. TOR isnt coming to consoles, get over it.cobrax55Oh I see...it only counts if it meats a Western Standard. *rolls eyes* TOR has about as much of a chance to go to consoles as Mass Effect 2 did around this time last year. Besides, like I said, I prophesized it already....it's a done deal. ;)
Unfortunately TOR is created with PC in mind as opposed to SOE doing it with Ps3 in mind. So the gameplay won't translate very well so it's highly unlikely.Espada12What does being developed for the "PC in mind" have to do with anything? Sure didn't mean a thing for this MMORPG: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncharted_Waters_Online
