Sony has officially gone stone cold stupid
by Unorthodox1978 on Comments
I really don't care how many Sony fan boys are reading this, and I am not particularly interested in whether or not anyone disagrees or even agrees with me on this. I'm venting and this is what I have to say: I have lost a lot of respect for Sony right about now. So, there's a price drop of $100.00 for the PS3 (whoop-de-doo). Yet an 80 gig model is set to be released in August which is at the original price of the 60 gig model. So, technically, we're right back where we started from at the launch, two versions of the same console with a $100.00 dollar difference between the two.
Let me ask you, how much sense does it make to drop the price of the current console and release a bigger one and sell it at the $600.00 price? Most folks will probably tell me that the 80 gig is worth more than $600.00 and therefore it's still a good deal. Not from where I'm standing--especially when the Xbox 360 Elite is 120 gigs and at a price point of $479.00 (granted, the PS3 has a few more odds and ends to it, namely the blu-ray). Sony still has a few problems namely, they are losing their exclusive line up. GTA has already jumped ship, Devil May Cry is no longer a Sony exclusive, and now MGS might migrate over the the Xbox 360. Now if Sony dropped the 60 gig model to say $400.00 and the 80 to $500.00, they might have a leg up on the competition. Also, Sony's achilles heel is their lack of good games. With a significant price drop and better games, Sony might actually win the console war and dominate like before. As a gamer, I want more bang for my buck and I will not drop $500.00 on a console that is only offering potential and not substance.
Well, I blew that one.

I took my exam for the LA County Typist Clerk position and flunked it. I received a 56.2% score out of 100%. The test was easy, so I think the only reason I scored so low is because I wasn't affored enough time to complete the exam. The arithmetic portion gave me the most trouble as I am not good at mathematics. But in all honesty, I don't really care that I failed. As mentioned earlier, I didn't want that job anyway. I have a few interviews lined up soon, so wish me luck with those. Later.

Wish me luck

I'm going in for a test to work for the county of Los Angeles as a clerk typist. My real goal is to get a job working for Enterprise Rent-a-car or Ameriprise Financial Company as it will help me in building my own business. But, a job is a job and I need one right now. So, wish a brother luck.
In the meantime, I'll be playing through the GTA series for a while. I'm psyched up about GTA IV and a little disappointed that Manhunt 2 is being postponed due to politics and b.s. with the ESRB. Oh well. Later peoples.

Playing hooky
by Unorthodox1978 on Comments
So I've got this weight training course at my local community college and I'm playing hooky today. It's not that I don't want to go, because I do, but I'm tired and a little under the weather. Last night's 4th of July left me with little sleep since everyone in my neighborhood was either lighting fireworks or firing automatic weapons into the sky (yeah, I know, real smart). I just hate missing any kind of obligation, even if I'm not feeling up to going. God willing, I'll be better next week. I'm already starting to notice some difference in my musculature. I don't want to look like I just got out of prison when I'm through, but I would like a little more meat on my bones.
Been busy reading books on starting my own business. I can't see myself working for someone else for the rest of my life. A job for the time being is one thing, but as a career, I'd rather be in charge of my own destiny. If anyone wants to do the same thing and doesn't know where to start, you should check out this website (Score!). They have a lot of resources. Anyways, later.

It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you.

OK, so I've been MIA as always. Since I'm paying for premium access, I suppose I should take advantage of it and write more blogs. God willing, I will be able to do that more often. I'm still job hunting, for the time being, I've been doing odd jobs here and there , thankfully the bills aren't abundant.
So far, the games front has been drier than a ten-year drought. My recent purchases have been Tombraider Anniversary and Final Fantasy for the PSP. Both are decent games, but nothing to do cartwheels over. I'm looking forward to E3, in spite of it being closed off to the public--which sucks a little. Well, I'm outta here. Hope to hear from some of my friends soon. Later.

I'm quitting my job and am currently looking for a new one. It's not paying nearly enough and I need better benefits. But because I'm friends with my boss, I'm a little freaked out about how she'll take it. I'm hoping that we'll still be friends. Anyway, that's it. Later.
On another sad note, my computer needs a serious upgrade. It's on it's last leg. Arrgghh.
Hi everybody

Just popping through to say hello. Don't have time for anything else. Got a two week vacation coming up, so that'll free up more time. Later

PS. The GTA IV trailer looks killer. Might have to buckle down and get an Xbox 360 or a PS3 for it.
