The reason it's $500 is because it comes with a $150 Elite controller. Since the drive is 1TB and the regular ones sell for $400, you actually save $50 getting the Elite console vs a regular and the Elite controller on its own. Granted it doesn't come bundled with any games, but if you're planning on buying a new system, realistically you should allocate another couple hundred dollars for games.
I call bullshit. Look how GTAV sold. What, 55 to 60 million copies by now? Generating over a billion dollars in 3 days? Call of Duty actually started selling MORE since MW1 with its first M for Mature rating. Fallout 3 has sold millions. The list goes on and on. Destiny, by comparison, will not change anything. This new tame Halo sucks just like Destiny. Only Warzone has kept me entertained.
I honestly cancelled my preorder for this game. Between the pitifully low resolutions on both consoles (both of which I have, no high end PC unfortunately), the boring looking beta, the $120 price tag to get the full game, and now this, I feel like this game is going to go the way of Battlefield 4 and Halo: MCC and take months before it's fixed, fully featured, and by then a complete edition will come out that's half the price. Day One buyers are going to get shafted...
I'll save up for a PC and play it without compromises if it's a good title. If not, there's Halo 5, Fallout 4, Black Ops 3, and my extensive back catalogue to keep me busy.
