Maybe you don't care about top quality, but some people do. Not to mention not everyone has a 25mbps internet connection to stream 4k, with a data cap on top of that. They've isolated part of the market by doing this. Thank Greedy ISPs.

You need 25mbps to stream 4k, and people have data caps. You can thank greedy ISPs for this, and lastly 4k disc is better quality.

Also Sony has there own movie service called ULTRA. Wouldn't want to detract business from that.
