If you didn't care about BC, get a 40gig. I got a used one bought a 500gig HD. I now have a 500gig PS3 for over a little than $400. Playstation has the best deal of any system for your money.

The best: SuperSFII Turbo though the SFII is a close second.

The worst:hmm. I actually liked clayfighter but TMNT tournamant is probably up there.

The hardest:WeaponLord. Only the best can truly master this game. Hard as hell, but very cool.

Well I do agree masking actual fighting techniques with the same motion, is tedious and pointless. Though you don't have to program them that way. You can do simple motions for moves. Such as your index finger could pull off a shoryuken. my point is you could create a fighting game without "controller error" and have matches actually based on skill.

I do think things like wii-motion is a niched thing, people will always prefer a controller. But eliminating buttons with simple motions, could create a faster better paced game. The greatest thing they could do to a controller though, is seperate it. Give each hand a task. Something like a sphere with an analog stick and buttons. I always thought having your hands cramped close together sucked anyhow.

I understand the love for controllers, imagine the possibilities of puzzle games with Natal. When the game can interpret things you draw or write?? Awesome stuff man. Now as for a standard control, what's more standard than motion control? Everyone moves the same. Look at fighting games. You program moves into simple hand motions..Viola!! No more "controller issues". The speed of gameplay could be quicker.

I know change is hard to accept, but i'm ready for something new. nearly 30 yrs of a controller have gotten stale for me.

I was wondering with Natal and the Playstation eye tech, plus Wii's motion sensor tech, being shown off: The question is this. Would you prefer that technology brought forth or just a whole new console system in general? Meaning, What if the graphical power stayed the same but the interaction to play the games was changed to these new technologies.

As for me, I would love to see facial recognition, and motion capture being use better in gaming. Not make new games for the new tech, but play current games with new tech. As always thanks for your time.

Some of you are missing my point. I don't mean like console games being gone, I mean what we know of as consoles. If you have a home console system, that can DLoad software and system updates, hardware updates by buying new ones, and the possibility of processor hardware update. What's the difference between that and a PC? I know and exptect gaming to be around for a long time, i just mean the difference between PC and consoles will no longer be different.

Kinda a big read, but it's a serious question for serious readers.

I was thinking about the future of gaming. More of a console vs. PC type of thing. I'm not a PC gamer by any means by the one thing that the PC has over consoles is ADAPTABILITY. It constantly upgrades itself, yea mostly cause the tech moves fast for it. Then I realized that the newer gen systems are begining to change, to adapt.

Look at the PS3. The hardrive can be swapped out for a bigger one. as they get cheaper you can get a bigger HD. I myself have a 500Gb system. The Xbox does this also though to a limited degree. All three systems now have DLC and upgrades regularly. Before, these were PC exclusives. The biggest hurdle though for the consoles is overall power..i.e Graphic cards and such. The PC can still upgrade these as the tech comes in. This leaves a 5 yr old console in the dust.

So back to the point. I think next gen systems will begin to adapt more. No longer will there be static processing, and graphical power. All systems will have updatable HD's as the norm. The question is how do you adapt old technology without buying an entire new system. I think games will be 50% DLC. In terms of price, the PC tech is coming down. What happens when you can buy a more powerful PC for the same price as a console?

I wonder if consoles will be a more viable technology. PC has had it right the whole time, the problem was cost. Well in 5 yrs from now, who thinks the price of a good PC will cost more than a console. Everyone pretty much has a PC, they are more important in everyday use than a console. What happens when developers notice it's cheaper to produce a game for something that more people have. Now i'm not saying PC gaming is better than Console gaming, but we are getting to the point where the two technologies will merge. Agree?...Again thanks for your time.

Well I was going to get a 80GB PS3, but decided to keep saving to get the 160GB for $479, so Uncharted will be my next game. I think I will get GTA4 after that, then work from there. I am going to start with the cheapest games on my list and work my way towards these newer games.

TheGreatOutdoor

Get the cheapest system possible then upgrade the HD. I have a 500GB PS3 for $450. best deal out there.
