^ Well for you I commend Splinter Cell: Double Agent, MGS4. I also highly recommend Riddick: Dartk Athena. You can play this game full out guns blazing or stealthy. What defines a stealth game is how its designed. Look at Splinter Cell double agent, Velvet Assassin, Hitman, Thief series etc. Lots of game have steath elements however its when the stealth takes center stage is when its considered a "stealth" game.

Okay I was curious out of these games which should I get? Alone in the dark inferno, Fracture, Eat lead, Wanted or saw? Also, out of the psn games out there which is really worth 10 bucks? I was looking into getting the secret of monkey island as I have never played it. Also what are some good rpgs for the ps3?

Also, I like the "rogue" in mmorpg's, or they are also called "thief" or "assassin" depending on the mmorpg. So which game do you think is similar to "rogue" or "thief" kind of gameplay? Like the stealthy, and hitting really fast, kind of attacks. Also, are there stealth games, where you can take down a group of people instead of one by one? Because, usually you wait for a group to disperse and then kill them, right? Can you like stun the group then take the group down?

And finally, I'm not just looking for stealth games. Are there other games that are like ninja-type games? thanks :D

In detail, I like stealth, daggers, assassination, stealing, running, versatility and speed (don't care much about swords :P, I'm actually more into the "rogues" and "thieves" kind of fighting and gameplay)

btw, isn't there stealth in every game? I mean, uncharted 2 isn't a stealth game at all, but you can still stealth kill in it.

And what do people mean when they say hack 'n slash ?

I thought it referred to games like oblivion where you just keep doing the same thing just pressing the attack button and there are no combos.

You have the internet, check out some gameplay vids. Like I've said already, MGS, Tenchu, Ninja Gaiden, and Shinobi. Those games have items, upgrades, and rpg elements where moves can be unlocked, but they don't have the combos of what your looking for. Most running is noticed: stealth is slow or fast in cutscenes. Just look around, there are tons of games. I think the games of this gen are good, but they could be better especially with "better hardware."BranKetra

I don't think that shinobi and tenchu are out for ps3.

And aren't those games action games? I guess rpg's like DDO, Demon's Soul, Oblivion don't really fit my taste :P

Thief is a lot like Assassin's Creed, but you said you already played the 2nd. The PS3 has good games, but the PS2 has way more. Elder Scroll's IV has stealth and is an RPG, but that got boring. Fallout 3 has stealth, too, but I was bored with the first 30 minutes I played when I really got out to the world.

As for that stuff in MapleStory...I dunno, that's more MMORPG or Castlevania: SotN and all its Castlevania counterparts.
