@uryu--i would suggest pop, splinter cell, infamous out of those games, also I love Dragon Age, but I'm not sure that would fit your style [QUOTE="SkyMelody"]What game of the following PSP games would you most recommend and why: Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, Hexyz Force, Lara Croft: Legend, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy. Please give other suggestions if you like:)KeredsBlaze
I would suggest Crisis Core simply for the story and fast paced gameplay, if your a fan of FFVII you will love it

lol why would infamous fit?

MrEco

wait, Splinter cell is for ps3?

and btw, when you talk about gameplay you mean the aspects I listed above right?

So basically, batman, prince of persia, splinter cell, ninja gaiden, metal gear solid, alpha protocol, and demon's soul?

The combat in dragon age origins is like in mmorpg's?

And finally, do you recommend any other games besides those listed above?

And also, which game should I buy first. There is quite a few even after eliminating some choices.

oh and also, what do you think about fallout?

I double checked. Only Splinter Cell: Double Agent is on PS3 but there are a lot of rumors that the first three games of the series are getting the GoW Collection treatment.

Yes I'm talking about the aspects you mentioned.

Yeah Dragon Age's combat is MMO-like.

I would say that Metal Gear Solid 4 and Demon's Souls are the first you should buy. Also Prince of Persia and Ninja Gaiden are very good.

Fallout is a very good game and it can easily be played as a stealth/assassination/thieving game if you build your character right.

lol why would you say that mgs4 and demon's soul should be the first ones I buy?

And btw, check your inbox if you have time. All the questions that I have left are on there :P Sorry if it's long, but, I promise those are the only questions I have :D

some people suggested dragon age origins based on the aspects lol

[QUOTE="Uryu52134"] Please cross off the games that aren't for ps3 and basically have nothing to do with the aspects above Oh and also please cross off the games that don't really show the assassin gameplay or ****at all. Like, for example, where you just run up to someone and spam skills like in mmorpg's. tenchu -I don't think any of these are on PS3, but I could be wrong.

batman -Some of what you're looking for in gameplay but not much.

hitman -Definitely not on PS3.

sly cooper -Not on PS3 and doesn't have the gameplay you're looking for even remotely.

prince of persia -Not a stealth game at all but it has very fast paced combat with an assassin-ish protagonist and ****weapons.

splinter cell -All fine here I'm pretty sure.

saboteur -Has none of the gameplay you said you're looking for. This is more like GTA than anything.

prototype -Same as above.

ninja gaiden -Not stealthy but has everything else you're looking for.

spiderman -Pretty much same as Prototype and The Saboteur.

infamous -Same as above.

metal gear solid -All good here.

far cry 2 -On PS3 but I don't think it's the gameplay you're asking for.

alpha protocol -From what I've heard it should match the bill.

demon's soul -Yes.

dragon age origins -I don't think the combat is what you're looking for but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try I guess.MrEco

I'm looking for games with these aspects (doesn't have to have each and every one, just around the ballpark): Stealth, daggers, backstabs, criticals, stun attacks, poison, ranged, assassination, speed, versatility, climbing, running, light armour, evasion, lock picking, stealing, traps, charged attacks, fast, weak attacks. You may also want to look at these two sites for reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin_%28character_****29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thief_%28character_****29 Please cross off the games that aren't for ps3 and basically have nothing to do with the aspects above Oh and also please cross off the games that don't really show the assassin gameplay or ****at all. @uryu 1. thats ur preference 2. idk 3. it can be, but you can make it action based if you want by assigning skills or setting the difficulty to a lower level 4. I like both 5. they have similarities but mmorpg's are meant to be played with a group of ppl, single player rpg's usually have a stronger story as wellKeredsBlaze

k thanks :D

I basically mean bows & arrows and swords/daggers.

If you want specificity, here are the aspects I'm looking for: Stealth, daggers, backstabs, criticals, stun attacks, poison, ranged, assassination, speed, versatility, climbing, running, light armour, evasion, lock picking, stealing,

I just said medieval assassin because all those aspects revolves heavily around a medieval assassin and it might confuse you.

What do you think of these games? (in relation to the above, not just the ratings)
I really have no questions to ask, but can you please cross off the games that aren't for ps3 and basically have nothing to do with what I want?

[QUOTE="Uryu52134"]
1)I should only look out for action games and rpg's right?

2)There are action games revolving around the assassin/thief ****in rpg's like assassins' creed 2; Are there any of those games for warriors, mages, or bowmen?

3)Isn't dragon age origins a bit like mmorpg's. I mean you just go up to an enemy and press skills, no?

4)Do you think rpg's are better than action games for the aspects? because they revolve heavily around assassin jobs, and rpg's have a solid assassin/thief ****as well.

5)How are mmorpg's different from rpg's? I mean, don't you just go up to someone and spam skills in rpg's like in mmorpg's?

MrEco

1) Action games and RPG's are generally the only games that will let you accomplish this, yes.

2) I don't know of any specifically, but it seems reasonable that they would exist. Their are quite a few RPG's out there that let you design a character to be anything you want (Like my earlier Demon's Souls recommendation) but I don't know of anything that specifically focuses on just one of those (Asides from AC2 of course).

3) Yes Dragon Age has similar combat to MMO's so you'll probably be turned off by it.

4) Yeah, RPG's are generally better for this since most RPG's have an assassin/rogue/theif cla ss and action games rarely give you character customization options.

5) RPG's come in many forms. Some (Like World of Warcraft) are MMO's with the type of slower paced gameplay you described. Some (Like JRPG's such as Final Fantasy) have turned based combat. While some (Like Demon's Souls) have real time action based combat.

Also I forgot to mention but Demon's Souls is a PS3 exclusive. I would also like to mention that Mass Effect and it's sequal offer stealth options and are real time combat RPG's exclusive to the Xbox 360. Also, the Theif trilogy (Exclusive tp PC) is an action game series completely based around sneaking, stealing, and stealth killing. It's in first person by the way with (Once again) real time combat. Hope I helped.

thanks :D, wwait, why not mmo's aside aside from action games and rpg's in the first question? as for thief, I played deadly shadows, it was alright, considering it was made years ago, but I would probably like the upcoming sequel to it more lol.

As for the fourth question, I'm not necessarily looking for customization options. I just want to know whether mmorpg's, rpg's, or action games have more of the aspects I listed before, and which one can really show out the assassin gameplay and ****

For the assassin gameplay and **** an example of games that can be excluded are mmo's like maplestory where you just spam skills and it requires no skill whatsoever, and really doesn't show the assassin gameplay.

You might want to check out Demon's Souls. It's an extremely difficult game but you can design your character to be anything you want. Just equip a thief's ring and now you can turn invisible when you're somewhat far away from an opponent (Like 8 -10 feet). You can backstab people in the game even you aren't trying to be an assassin, but daggers get a huge damage bonus to backstabs. There are countless poisons and thing's that you can equip to weapons for DoT and some weapons (Like the the Babies Nail dagger) that have permanent poison effects. It's an RPG but it has completely real-time combat that is actually very realistic since everything from the length of your weapon, to it's attack speed, and even the ****it attacks in (Ex: Horizontal swipe vs. peircing) all matter greatly along with your skill level in combat to ensure that whoever wins a fight really deserves to have done so. Also, the icing on the cake? You can do all of the above in multiplayer. Search the game on wikipedia or something to learn more.

P.S. You asked about being a warrior/mage/bowman. You can do all of that too in Demon's Souls. Just equip the right weapon/armor types and have the apropriate stats (Like high intelligence for a mage) and you can become whatever you want. If you play your cards right as a mage you be one shot killing people in multiplayer constantly - it's so fun.

can you please answer the five questions? I'm really confused about whether dragon age origins is similar to mmorpg gameplay or not.

I actually like assassin creed series. After beating the game, they're so much stuff to try out. Like, killing people with spears, and breaking the spear into two to kill a brute.
