I always try to stick with one game at a time also. Only games I would alternate is between console and handheld. Pretty much only play my handheld one away from home either at work or in the car waiting for friends. I also have a gamefly sub, and pretty much they're making good money off of me. I'm the type that likes to take my time with games.
Make sure ps3 is on. Load up wmp11 and go to tools>options then click the library tab. Click configure sharing to see an unknown device. Allow it and hit ok to close those windows and you're good to go.
Another reason why it seems like more players are going the console route is developers are going that route too. Mainly with hardware issue. It's been that way for a while now. Why optimize your game on multiple hardware configurations when there's one set standard in the consoles.
I had the opposite experience actually. At first I placed it vertical since it looks nicer, but also felt the area around it hotter. Now that I've placed it horizontal, I haven't felt that hot air feel yet.
The thing with the Dreamcast is you have to plug in your controllers before turning on the console. It's not like other systems where it's plug and play at anytime. I almost forgot that little thing about the system until I saw this post. This brings back memory.
