Well I have only ever owned 3 games. Popolocrois, Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai, and Metal Gear Solid portable ops. Sold Metal Gear Solid after about a year and a half and had been playing crisis core and dissiedia when at my friends house using my psp.

Just to make sure I understand right, I put my save files on the pc, empty the memory stick, then do the update and then just delete the update from the memory card and the update will still be on the system?

As for games with the update how new a game are we talking? The latest game I tried to play was birth by sleep last year but I got an error saying the battery wasn't charged enough to do the update. I left my psp plugged in all day but it still wasnt charged enough and I never got around to trying to again.

For the PC, that's pretty much the gist of it. After you've backed up the save files on your PC, you can delete them from your PSP, download the system update, install update, then delete system update. You're now free to move the save files back on your PSP via the PC.

As for how new the games have to be to have the new system update, they have to be fairly new (maybe released 1-2 weeks within system update release). But even then, they still may have the old system update on them, so unless you were interested in the game and were going to buy it anyways, I suggest to check online what system update it comes with.

Persona 4 Golden Final Fantasy X Remake Zone of Enders Remake Tales of Innocence R and YS IV would have been there too, if they had been confirmed for a western release. I have my eyes on Ruin and Dragon's Crown as well but I need to see some reviews before I decide. Also, there are some PSP games I can't wait to replay, specially Crisis Core.pooyanh

XSEED and Falcom have been on a roll with their partnership. No way is this game not coming over.

Ocarina of Time, Harvest Moon, and that upcoming Doctor Lautrec game (unless it gets rave reviews, in which case I'll just go ahead and buy it).

Ugh... why do Sony and Nintendo feel the need to waste so much plastic with the boxes for handheld games? Seriously, guys.RACiEP

There's something called recycling if it bothers you that much. Or better yet, there's PSN. Seriously, I don't get why people are aggravated by the fact that it has a case. Do you want Sony to just sell the game card by itself?

Ports of the Alchemists of Arland series, Mana Khemia 2 Port, a Rune Factory game, Ys port/remake/new game, and that's all I can think of for now.

No. I don't speak Japanese, so I'll have to wait regardless for English games even if I did import.

Gaming-Planet

The JP Vita version has English language setting. It's also region-free I heard. The JP games will remain japanese though.

Unless you mean the in-game text will change to English as well, that won't change that I'll still have to wait for English Vita games.

Alright, first off, I think you mean 32MB, because there is no way that the system update is 32GB.

Anyways, you do need the required space for the update. If you have a PC and a USB cable that connects to your PSP, you can simply transfer the save files to your computer, delete files on PSP, do the update and delete, then transfer the save files back.

If you don't have a PC or the required cable, you can buy a memory stick for pretty cheap. You'll be able to buy one with enough space for updates and save files for around $5.

The third and final way is to buy a new game that has the system update installed on it (you'll have to check for yourself what games do). Since the system update is on the UMD, you won't need to download anything to update your system.

Edit: To answer your question, no, you're not screwed. This is one of the benefits of having save files on memory sticks. Makes transferring them and backing them up so much easier.

What?! Of course it will be okay. It definitely will NOT stop having games made for it within a year, lol. Vita will be a completely different experience, and all gamers know that the iPhone is just a system for short gaming periods.

Although some 3D games will be better played with a second analog stick, I think Nintendo made the right choice going with one stick. It would be so awkward having the ABXY buttons bellow the second analog. Also, a lot of people seemed to have forgotten how great some DS games were. The 3DS is meant to produce unique games that cannot be played on consoles or other handhelds, not to play dumbed down versions of games on consoles.

I just had to say that, as I really disagree with a lot of people complaining about the second analog. I don't want a Vita (I'm not bashing, I'm actually getting that day one), but a system that can produce more of those awesome DS games (with the obvious upgrades of having better hardware).

I've only played the new and remade Final Fantasy games, so I'd definitely like to see the other Final Fantasy games (V-IX) remade for 3DS (or Vita) so I can play them.
