This was the most engaging thing I've seen you do in a long time, although it is worth noting I stopped watching a while back because of all the lists. They just feel so superficial. I don't mean to get all academic and start quoting dialects of enlightenment, but ... that's just who I am and what I'm about to do. Almost. I just find lists oppressive. The reduce all the nuance in a quest to package things together for "sameness'" sake. What one ends with is a sort of a lowest common denominator bland industrial grade food paste. Ideas like that aren't for me. Sorry.

That said, you can probably disregard the rest of this because I'm not exactly your target audience (ie. Your audience. )

I liked this video though because it was talking to us, not... I don't know. Too much polish ruins things like this. You lose credibility if you sound too meticulous, because genuineness comes from commonality. If you sound too robotic, and you do if you use the same speech patterns continuously, you lose your humanity and stop being perceived as a fellow human. That's my main complaint about GameSpot presenters is that they all sound monotonous, with the exception of Danny.

My best advice is to remember that we're people and talk to us accordingly. People understand if you mumble a bit or otherwise display flaws. It's endearing. We actually like imperfections. You've got this opportunity to have a conversation with us, so just do that.

I'm honestly ready to "defect" out of sheer spite. If only because they kept having our expectations lower and lower and then, without any sort of warning, tell us that their last apprisals was about 50% of final price. I'm ready to go with Steam or whomever.

It's a real shame that the man who "kickstarted" the VR revolution probably won't be the one reaping the reward, but at some point, I just stop feeling bad about it. The whole idea was they were releasing affordable technology. This is not affordable and the quote of Palmer Lucky saying it's ridiculously inexpensive is just going to be the moment we all remember, catagorising the Rift's launch.

Gamespot's ads think I speak French. I do, but that's largely besides the point.

I'm really excited about this new focus. Community participation is the one thing that the internet can do that no other medium can. I wrote a blog entry on it (back when people wrote blog entries).

I like hearing you guys talk about your thoughts that go into this work. It really adds a lot of enjoyment to me as a viewer. There can be moments which make me think the people talking have literally no brains in their heads (so mostly groans and gurgling noises), and that's never the case when you guys are talking. I enjoy when people talk to me as an informed adult and respect my intelligence, so thanks for that.

I'm psyched for a "community" focus, and I'm definitely going to try to write some engaging, interesting and intelligent content in response to your new content. Truthfully, I've been zoning out on Gamespot content as it just becomes more and more click-baity. That's like the other extreme of "waste of my time" content: promising a lot and delivering little. So, fingers crossed.

@saturatedbutter: Pretty much. Best case scenario is successors to the Rift offer inferior product, but at a feasible price. Palmer Lucky will be an unfortunate footnote as the man who "kickstarted" the VR revolution, but failed to capitalise on it.

Jesus Christ, Gamespot, you are allegedly journalists. Do not write "gonna", even in a quote. It's a slur of a word that is two characters (space included) longer.

Have some pride already.

So, if you're paying attention, it needs two ports and two USB ports. Two more if you plan on using three controllers simultaneously.

See, I trust both of you, Danny and Andy. I've been following your work both for some time now.

I want to see the work that you're proud of. The Point is one of the only things I still watch here because a lot of the other shows feel so... contrived. "This is a big topic this week, so we made a list that is tangentially related."

I know what it is to write anything because you have to write something, but that's just garbage. However, when you have people talking about things they actually care about rather than content one step above clickbait, it shows. The presentation can make an uninteresting topic interesting, like when Mike Channel of Oxbox fame talks about cars.

I want to see you two develop this show further and bolder in the direction you want it to go in. As per specific topics? I know what I would write on, but I think that the personal touch is what makes this show what it is. I think if I told you the things I want to say or talk about, it wouldn't really line up with your own and I don't think you could do it justice because your work is so genuine. From what I can tell, my and your sensibilities are quite divergent, so that clashes. But that's okay, because having different perspectives is how every conversation worth having happens. So, I'll just be the guy who tells you what I honestly think without being rude or hostile about it; if that's okay with you.

I didn't read this article. I will never read a movie review on gamespot.
