Last gen Microsoft came in late and tried to compete with Nintendo and Sony, it worked. This gen Microsoft dominates North America, but no one cares about them anywhere else. Honestly I dont care about the rest of the world. I don't want to play with someone in China or Japan. I don't want to play any games made in China or Japan. I want to play with all my buddies (I dont mind playing with the blokes over in the U.K or some of the yanks). Where I live (Canada) everyone of my buddies have a 360, and/or orginal Xbox, or PS2, nothing else. Believe me price is not an issue with the sexy PS3. Microsoft owns the market where I live. They own North America, that is a huge accomplishment by Microsoft.

Now I know Microsoft sucks everywhere else in the world. When it comes down to it, if you live in one place and speak one language and play a 360, why would you care about what a person in a totally different place speaking a totally different language plays. Honestly?

It will live up to the hype because its not being hyped like as if it were a new halo, gta, or amazing.

It will be AA and set us up for a new franchise, that may have the chance of having some hype in the future.

I plan on playing mostly Source engine games and Company of Heroes. Maybe even Mass Effect if I find the time. I will also be using it for other purposes ofcourse. What do you think?

I personally don't have a ps3 or 360 yet (I am planning on purchasing a 360 soon).

1. MGS4 doesn't interest me at all, I have played the original for the ps1. It was fun but I personally don't like the style.

2. Although I love fps, Resistance looked odd to me, maybe just because I prefer WWII to be separate from sci-fi.

3. Uncharted looks like a beautiful game and seems to have an interesting story, but I would say only rent worthy.

4. Gran Turismo is cool and looks graphically well done, I would be just as content with Forza 2.

5. Now don't get me started about Final Fantasy. I personally hate the franchise and I am glad it will stay far away from the 360.

As for TRUE, maybe i should of said EPIC stealth game. for its better story/characters etc. But since lemmings have attacked the thread, i couldn't say anything for you to agree to.

Epic stealth game and better story/characters would be your opinion. For me I enjoy both franchises.

How can they do a rip off if Sam Fisher is running around city streets as a fugitive and Solid Snake is fighting futuristic private militaries?

And the previous Splinter Cell's were in no way even close to being similar to previous Metal Gear's. Only thing related is Snake killing people stealth like and Sam Fisher killing people stealth like. Why would you think they would rip off now when the relation is even more non existent?

Regardless I can tell you right now there will be nothing worth ripping off.
