Resident Evil series: I could never get into the genre and I hate rationing anything.

Gears of War: All flash and no substance.

Mass Effect: IMO, one of the biggest letdowns on the 360. Overall, it felt rushed and generic.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: I felt myself getting dumber the more I played it.

Half-Life 2: Boring gameplay that seemed to drag on and on and on.

I think that covers it.

^This article makes a good point about the whole MS/T2 rumors, specifically the last few sentences of the paragraph under the quoted statement.

IMO, Valve has been given too much credit. My reason? They are heavily resistant to change. As someone cited in one of the earlier pages of this thread, Newell is scared of multi-core processors. Why? They are, among many things, different than what he has been working with for the past decade. I am aware that Newell is not the only memeber of Valve, but they perform under his direction quite often I would assume. My advice to them (like it means anything) is to diversify their games and welcome new technology, not endlessly complain about it (like Newelll did with the PS3).

I think a lot was done in the way of animation. The facial animations, along with the clothing physics and animations, are not only believable and realistic, but likely not possible on last gen hardware. To me, these small details add so much to immersion and really demonstrate the power and capabilities of both current gen consoles when channeled properly.

Correct you are! You should have purchased the official Microsoft HDMI cable that comes complete with a dongle that you plug into the proprietary A/V port on the back. This has both analog stereo and digital optical outputs on it for situations just like this.
