I don't get why everybody is calling this a "Dark Souls Clone" when it not. Its from the same dev, so its more a spinoff than anything. I mean, we don't call New Super Mario Brothers a "Mario Bros clone" do we? I know its just semantics, but it seems so foolish.

He must not have been too patient considering enemies despawn after so many kills.

I admit, the game can be overwhelming at first. Perhaps having some background in the souls series helps you know what to expect, but even so, some of the concepts aren't that difficult to understand.

The effigy thing gets everyone lol, he does have a valid point there because I had the same problem.

But, this review seems completely arbitrary. I understand that some bias exists in every review, but this is just ridiculous.

@Thanatos2k I wish Square were more like NIS, and by that I mean they'd keep expectations for a game realistic. I would love to see a new Ogre Battle game, but alas, we likely never will.

Matsuno is wasting his time on this stupid stuff. A great, dark, gritty storyline isn't enough to save a shitty mobile game, if its even similar to his earlier works...

@JUSTAGAMERLIKEU @dmastor

I'm not a Sony fanboy but i'd like to point out that...

1. Sony Gave everyone two free games for the hack scandal. I had info on PSN and didn't lose anything, so it was a boon to me. Granted the games weren't that great from what I remember but hey, they were free. I got Infamous out of it.

2. Sony not too long ago sent me a code for $10 on PSN for nothing more than as a thanks. Granted that isn't that much, but hey, its money.

I had Xbox Live for probably 3 years, and never received anything like that. Sony made me feel like they appreciated my loyalty. I can't really say the same for Microsoft...

Ever since Square has jumped ship to Xbox/ Playstation the most they (usually) do for nintendo anymore is republish older games. A sequel to Super Mario RPG, even though it would be awesome, would have to be developed by Nintendo. I can't see Nintendo ever making a true sequel either... :/

Oh come on... Lack of creativity at Nintendo?

-Open tracks, kinda like an outdoor/offroad racer. Of course there'd be hazards.

-Maybe flying segments?

-Different uses for boost? Maybe like a ranged attack (which wouldn't be delving into Wipeout territory too much). Or maybe they could implement boost jumps.

-Why not add more RPG elements to it? For campaign you could choose which elements of the blue falcon/whatever you wanted to upgrade.

-Expand upon the vehicle creation

It isn't that difficult to come up with new ideas...

@bkohary Alas, we have similar interests. A TRUE FFT sequel would be my dream come true, but knowing SE they'd butcher it by making it another FFT Advance for the PS3 with a shitty, kiddies save the world storyline full of teenage angst and bullshit.

Oh my gosh... incorporate perma death into Dark Souls 2. Maybe after so many deaths... That would be a macabre waltz lol.
