[QUOTE="RexDarr"] Same with Billy Talent and all the other punk bands that just whine about things... Offspring is one of the few awesome punk bands that are still aroundRexDarr

The Offspring isn't punk either.

Actually, Offspring is considered punk/rock. Look anywhere and they're called punk. Their first CD is straight punk music (Its my fave), but since then they've changed their sound (yet still considered punk)

Not to me. Punk is something like The Clash, Sex Pistols, etc. The only real band that's come out in the past 20 years that I consider punk is Dear Landlord, and even they are a poppunk variant.

[QUOTE="Tropicalshower"][QUOTE="Darth-Caedus"]

The lyrics of those songs are irrelevant to me, if the music is good, I'll like the song, if the music is bad, then I won't.

Darth-Caedus

I find the Lyrics to be the most important aspect of a song :?. It depends on how its portrayed (negative or positive way)

Lyrics are by far the least important aspect of a song. Good lyrics can be a plus, but they can't take away from a good song. The riffs, drumming, solos, etc. are all FAR more important IMO.

To me, no single part of a song decides if I like the song. Although, tbh, the least important part of a song TO ME is the guitar parts. Drums and lyrics are the most important part, if you ask me. Does that mean I can't like acoustic instrumentals? Of course not.

Some of my post doesn't seem to make sense, but whatever. Hopefully I got my point across.

I Can't Win is their greatest song, if you ask me. It's filled with this emotion that doesn't typically fill Strokes songs.

Also, Hard To Explain is a close second.

I would ban commercials during movies.

Any other time is fine by me. In fact, sometimes commercials are useful for seeing new movies and when shows come back on the air.

Well, no, it wasn't as amazing as The Devil and God, but at this point I like it more than Deja.

sammyjenkis898

Really? I don't think Daisy even compares, but, again, I've only listened to it twice.

Well I really like Deja, I think I've listened to it TOO much. Now it sounds kind of stale. If it was in it's prime with me, though, I'd probably like Deja a lot more. But man, Gasoline, At The Bottom, Sink, Daisy, and Noro are really awesome.

This. I love this album.

thegrimpeeper

Yeah, man, this is one of my favorites, too.

Im afraid still, why would want to hear someone scream in despair/pain

Shmiity

Because it's emotional.

And I like emotional music.

daisy - brand new

Not really the last album I fell in love with, but the most recently released.

sammyjenkis898

I was disappointed with this. Granted, I've only listened to it twice..

It's just, from the two listens, it didn't live up to the greatness of The Devil and the God.

Music is the foundation of my existence. Then movies.

Video Games don't mean a whole lot to me, tbh.
