With E3 happening does anyone know Red Faction was released? 8.5 from gamespot.

I think it's a money thing personally. I think by the time it comes out the 360 will be winding down and a new console will be on the horizon and rockstar probably feels the ps3 will be the best console to cash in on at the time. I bet it ultimately comes to the new xbox. Sony probably offered a good chunk to keep it exclusive for the time being and rockstar took it.

If they are grooming it as the next GTA, you'd think they'd want to cash in on all platforms. GTA was huge on the 360. That makes no sense to me. Did Sony pay a huge dollar for it or what? Or by the time it comes out they expect microsoft to have a new console coming out? Which they will eventually port it to? Are they just going back to their sony roots just for the interm or what?

I loved the footage they showed of it. It was spot on imo.. I just wish it would come out. There is no reason why it should be taking this long. Maybe they just dont want to release it at the same time as some of the other big hitters.

it seems like alan wake will be a memorable and exciting experience for the interesting premise and story telling, but a very unspectacular game. To be fair, survival horror tends to be unspectacular, so maybe, 8.0-ish? The music and sound is great, but the actual events aren't scary or suspenseful really from the trailer shown.

I think you are missing the premise of it. It's more stephen kingish. It's more just cool than scary. So should uncharted not get a 9+ because it isn't scary? I don't think that is what they are aiming for. I think it will be a well done game. It's taken forever. It better be. And beides we saw a small part of the game. I'm sure there will be some scary parts. It's more a mystery/psychological game with horror mixed in. Its more story driven.

If Xbox 360 had a quad core, then it would kick the PS3's ass by 50 miles, not "match" it LMAO. Any decent processor destroys the stupid cell that everyone thinks is so awesome because it has 8 cores.
