i honestly would rather everything be on one disc. BEing forced to do huge installs is not right by microsoft. it's not that big a deal, the games will work fine, but it's still cheesy on microsofts part. it's definately not ideal. they are kind of stretching the 360 beyond it's limits at this point. which if it equals good games and 2 discs id rather than than nothing, but still... the 360 will have great games that are on par with anything else on the market that's the good thing. It's just kind of cheesy.

these are two advantages sony has. I've said this all along. Can the 360 still make great games and compete? sure but they are stretching things beyond their limit at this point. For this coming year the 360 is going to be awesome but it's going to start showing it's limitations really soon if it isn't already. They are pretty much pushing it to its limit and past at this point. I own one and actually think it's going to be better than the ps3 for the next year, but after that it really is toast.

they said 2 discs during the gamespot thing. The good news is there is no texture popin and load times they say are greatly improved plus ultra fast framerates. ODST is also 2 discs. They said that during the gamespot thign as well, although the second disc for that one is just all the expansion stuff from halo 3 and other stuff for multiplayer and stuff i believe.

I wouldn't be surprised if every game that was shown isn't on two discs. They looked too good. I honestly didn't believe the 360 was capable of upping hte anti and htey did. The sacrifice is that all of these games are now on two discs though. Mass Effect 2, Halo ODST, Forza 3 have all been confirmed 2 discs. I'm guessing Alan Wake is soon to follow and others. FFXIII will be two discs I guarentee as well. This pretty much signifies we are seeing the end of the line of the 360 and how far it can go. AFter this batch of games they can't go to 3 discs. This is about as far as they can take the 360. Next conference they are going to announce a new system guarenteed.

Reminds me of my Gran Turismo 2 days. Back then, it was so cool that a game came on 2 discs. You could hardly comprehend how much content it had. PS2_ROCKS

IT's definately oldschool that is for sure. I really like my 360 but come on microsoft, even though it's really not that big a dela. But still come on microsoft.

i luckily just got rid of my 20 gig and got a bigger one as well.

So does that mean that people with little space or no HDD at all will not be experiencing the "definitive racer of this gen"?

i dont think that is how its going to work. i think you will install one disc and the other will be used for playing.

people with small harddrives or no harddrive at all are going to get squeezed.
