While I can never complain about free DLC, I'm not too crazy about Giant's Shadow. I prefer more dense urban maps in Battlefield and Giant's Shadow is basically a gigantic, wide-open field with a downed zeppelin in the middle. Still, new content is always welcome, especially for the reasonable price of nothing.
@R34Vegeta: Agreed. I'm very surprised at how washed out the Xbox version looks compared to the PS4. Check out the clip from 1:37 to 1:42 - the characters look like they were rendered in 480p on the Xbox. Then from 1:55 to 2:01 it looks like they basically cut out most of the lighting effects that you get on the PS4.
@consolehaven: Ugh you're killing me. I've been excited as hell for RE7 since the Beginning Hour demo came out and I would kill to play it in VR. The VR games out so far look really cool but RE7 is the first "killer app" that almost has me convinced to drop the cash on it.
@burasta: Yeah I know, the problem is that I'm a technology junky and I can't help but gravitate towards the most "cutting edge" audio/video experience. I've read that the main purpose of the Pro is to provide more horsepower for PSVR and I always want to experience this type of stuff in its finest form. On the other hand I don't own a 4K HDR TV so I'm still on the fence as to whether it would be truly worth it. I may just take the VR plunge and consider upgrading to a Pro later down the line.
I've been craving a PSVR for the past month. I already own a hefty gaming PC so I could easily run an Oculus or Vive but PSVR seems to have the better collection of games on the way, which is the ultimate determining factor in a gaming device. If I can hold out until Christmas I should be able to upgrade my PS4 to a Pro in January without my girlfriend wanting to chop off my genitals in the process, then it's full steam ahead onto this trendy new VR thing.
