You are blaming the wrong people there. Devs other than independent ones have no control on street release deadlines. The publisher is the one who decides; EA in this case.
@dragonagelore: I also believe that it's not as bad as people who love to hate are stating. But I think it has the problem that it feels more like a Dragon Age than a Mass Effect.
@Zonsag: No, companies release DLC for games that nobody plays anymore or that do not exists. Or so small minded kids can talk crap about them, because they are "smart" and register in websites to trash talk about the fools that play a game because they like them.
