@YukoAsho: Reminds me of the case of the stuntwoman who suffered extreme injuries in a Resident Evil movie; the company responsible put a lot of excuse for giving economic support (if they did it in the end, which I'm not sure)
@Barighm: Good point, but FFVII was huge in scale back in it's time; I doubt a 1-1 reproduction would have preserved that sense of "being huge". Different game and different implications.
Humble Bundle is making my steam library grow a lot each month. So really not sure if I will even be in the mood to go through the sales in quite a while ^^;
Lots of people seem to complain that "this is not the same game". Well... that was the point. If they were to do the exact same thing, most posts would have been complains about "I'm not buying the same game again; I'll just play the original"
Everybody interested likely has the original in at least two different systems. That one is always there, no need to add yet another version with just better graphics.
@CyberEarth: Making the exact same game with the exact same mechanics from 1997 would not have worked as well. It would have been the same with more graphics, minus the charm and cheap by today's standards. They just could not have done the exact same thing.
