all you people who are saying it does not have the best graphics out have either never played it, are in serious denial or dont own a hdtv. All the reviewers would have obviousley played this game on a decent set up( like myslef) and it is absolutely stunning, i dont get why uncharted gets all the credit it does, gears probably looks better, but seriousley mgs4 in ACTUAL MOTION in HD, is the best thing out on consoles so far.pappa-ray

1) I played it on LG 47 inch.

2) Gears of War looks better, in my opinion.

3) Nothing that you or GameSpot says will change my mind, because I have already seen the best of the best of the games and I know which one looks better.

A new hands-on was released by eurogamer.net. Besides the standard gameplay commentary, eurogamer had something interesting to say about the graphical differences between PC, PS3, and 360. Seems the versions aren't as "equal" as everyone has been saying they are.

Clever shading based on layers not textures means the game can scale to your PC, and the powerful demonstration machine displayed a crisp, sun-drenched, coherent and detailed landscape; one both functional and flattering, given the decision to all but scrap a HUD. And the PC version wins out yet again. :)

At the mement MGS4 is the best looking game on any console, thats it. I dont see why 360 owners are so annoyed with this though as soon enough Gears 2 will change all that.

Also please stop calling gears 1 the best graphics on the 360, UT3 looks better than gears 1, even the devs said so, so find something else to use.

or better yet, admit that the best looking game is on the ps3 at the moment, then when gears 2 comes out that will be the new graphics king.

Garphics wise, I would say Gears Of War and MGS4 are about the same, to be honest, but gameplay wise, Metal Gear Solid 4 blows Gears Of War out of the water.

I find Gears of War better in gameplay and graphics, MGS2 is still my favourite of the series, but MGS4 is good too

Graphics wise I think MGS4 looks better then gears. Gears 2 though looks better then MGS4. And we already know MGS4 is a better all around game then gears period. Gears 2 may be better gameplay wise and more fun but it better be strong in every area this time if it wants to reclaim GOTY this time around beause we already know MGS4 is.
