@Dare9498 -- me too, do you keep your PS3 in a well ventilated space?koneki1
Has that anything to do with a breaking Blu-Ray laser? As far as i've concerned it doesn't have something to do with it. I am not sure though.

Yeah, it most likely only happens on the 60GB release models. Oh and you are not the only one, Dare9498. 'TROS Radar' has had a program on tv about this issue. Around 350 people with the same problem replied to it.

Do you know why the Blu-Ray laser breaks down by any chance?koneki1
The only thing I know they are very, very sensible. Also I've mentioned this most likely only happens on the 60gb release models?

I'm sorry, but your Blu-Ray laser is broken :( You need either to buy a new one and place it in yourself (cheap, but with a risk), or trade it in =(

[QUOTE="M0wen10"]

How do you know when your PS3 is overheating, because mine is loud and I play it regularly. Thanks :)

YOu will know whe your ps3 shuts off by its self

Prevent this. It happened to me, and my PS3 is going to die somethime soon. Or maybe not. But it's very dangerous, when this happened to me my PS3 wouldn't turn on again, but after 3 days I was lucky the CD came out but now my PS3 has a burning smell. Feel the fan at the side regularly, if it's extremely hot, or just really hot, turn off your PS3 and take a break. If it's just warm and loud, you've most likely nothing to worry about.

Maybe dust is blocking the airway. That's the only thing. If not, then your PS3 is just like this. I don't think issues are bounded. Good luck.

Ok, in case you guys wanted to know, I just called Sony. He said that it's probably a bolt of dust that has burned inside, but it COULD be a component too. He told me it would be wise to back-up my files, and for this case if I'm trading it in I don't have any costs but I need to have a evidence where I have bought my PS3, but I already have it 2 years so I lost it. So I gotta go back to the store and then they make a handwritten letter that I have bought the PS3 and that way I will be free of costs. But maybe trading in isn't even needed.
