Ugh. I'm so ambivalent about this game. I've preordered it, I want it b/c it looks so damn good and I know I will love ASPECTS of it. BUT, the cold hard truth is that I'm a full-time working adult with a full life of responsibilities. I'm not in my late teens early 20s anymore with tons of expendable time. Dying twice, subsequently wasting 2-3 hours of my precious free time and having nothing to show for it is just... stupid.

So here I am, really excited, having preordered a game and spent $60 on something I know will only bring me frustratio. I will probably never get through it unless this game becomes the only game I allow myself to play with my video game free time for the next 2 years.... oh well.

:?

Small flaws don't significantly effect games for me.vashkey

@ your post, david carusso's post, and like 3 others, too....

Geeze, some people on these forums are so annoying. It doesn't take much to stretch your brain a bit to understand the perspective/intention of the OP. Every. single. thread. is lambasted by pedantic anonymites who have nothing to contribute but negativity/dismissiveness. Maybe people should go on a day long strike of not posting any original threads, help the "others" realize the improtance of NEW topics to discuss. Nobody is getting paid for this.

As for you, OP, I have to say the copy/paste side missions in Mass Effect. In relation to other games, those side missions are better than 90% of what most games offer. But, going through that same isolated building so many times eventually took me out of an otherwise transcendent next-gen (at the time) rpg experience.

I wish stage in life could accommodate a game like DS. Time is just too precious nowadays to lose 2 hours of work and have nothing to show for it.

[QUOTE="DarthBilf"][QUOTE="Silverbond"]

I like Pokemon. Pretty sure that means I win. :)

Silverbond

There are two things in life I'm addicted to:winning and Pokemon.

Now that's an addiction I can support. :)

unless you engage in repeated 3 minute pedantic monologues on the various species and powers of pokemon, while failing to pick up on the uninterested nonverbal social cues of your audience, go ahead....indulge.

i like to play the voice of reason on internet forums. it makes me sound level-headed and confident.

I like putting others down on Internet forums. It makes me feel better about my insecurities which arise from me lacking in certain other areas.

i like playing armchair psychologist. it helps me intellectualize others' perceived insecurities that i've had no actual interaction with.

[QUOTE="DarthBilf"] Aww, did they hurt your feelings? If you are going to make a potentially offensive "joke", the least you can do is make it funny.DarthBilf

yeah you're right. i guess it was wrong of me to make a joke about a disorder characterized by pronounced social deficits in a video game forum.

The one in which you've made 211 posts?

is there another?
