You should read the review and use the critisism to way off whether or not the game is for you. If the critisism on that particular game doesn't apply to you; for example: there is no multiplayer. If you don't care about multiplayer this wouldn't matter to you; then you can just buy the game regardless of it's critisism and/or score.
But when reviewers get fired because they flopped a game that they were apperently paid for to give an almighty review, then no. You can't trust it. Which is what is happening on Gamespot. At least, as far as we've been told.
