the problem is that white americans brought this on themselves when they decided to invade a non white country surrounded by non whites in all directions. Complaining about it doesn't really make sense. If you want to remain all white go back to europe and the scandinavian countries where multiculturalism is just a talking point.

Who here (or anywhere, frankly) has advocated to bring in an amount that will "overwhelm" the US? For example Clinton's plan called for 65,000 Syrian refugees... your country's population is over 319,000,000. And those refugees would only be the affluent ones like the ones Canada is bringing in. Anyway, the US was founded on multiculturalism, I think people forget that sometimes. France? France has always been white. Germany has always been white. Saudi Arabia has always been brown. Congo has always been black. China has always been asian.

You can't really say that about America. I mean you might say "Yeah the "ruling class" of America has been the white man" but look at the people, it's not homogeneous. Never has been, never will be. And that's beautiful, warts and all.

Well, let's look at some points:

1. The US is a nation of immigrants. Not just white European ones, but black ones as well. Asians, too. And let's not forget the American Indians that were here first, as well; they welcomed immigrants initially. Immigration, legal or illegal, is an American value as old and as true as the nation itself.

2. I could care less what a Mexican in Mexico thinks of US immigration to Mexico. What does that have to do with me? Or a Muslim (not that we are letting "Muslims" in, I'm pretty sure we are letting "Arabs" in...), for that matter. This isn't a give one, take one process; we don't "exchange" immigrants as if we somehow lose something by taking on an immigrant so we need to sell an immigrant to balance it out, no one "owes" us anything.

3. As for why a white person wants it, it's called equality. OK, prepare yourself for a bit of holier than thou...but some of us like to think beyond ourselves, maybe think of the big picture, yeah? Maybe we see the world in the cosmic scheme of things? Maybe the world is a big beautiful grey color and not just black and white (mostly white, if some people had their way) as some would think. Maybe we think back on our great grand parents and the opportunities afforded to them as immigrants and would like to see them passed on to others?

4. Why is it so crazy to be upset over draconian immigration laws? Why is demonstrating sympathy--nay, empathy!--such a terrible quality to you? The world is a beautiful place, but it can also be cruel: for those of us lucky enough to have won the genetic lottery of being any combination of white/middle-class-or-wealthier/male/American (pick any two or more), it's important to thrust yourself into the shoes of others not so lucky in order to see the ugly side of life.

And it's not an opinion, and it's not a religious belief. It's a fact that shit is going down the drain in this country, we are going back to the 1950's. We are literally setting the clock back to the time where the country started going to shit, except we are already shit, so now it's double shit.

definitely a big part of this was liberals not voting because the media convinced them that the chance of trump becoming president was 0.02%. This will be a a case study for the BIGGEST epic FAIL moments in american history. A coup de tat you could say done using a trojan horse that was slipped in at a time the liberals were already partying and celebrating the hilary clinton win. Now that people figured out what happened, they are all enraged that their house was robbed while they were in a drunken stupor.

2 things that I think should happen in the future: Allow election voting to proceed even while the votes are being tallied, until we get to a point that 50-60% of all the votes of every state is tallied which is when we close the polls for good to get to the end count. If that were to happen, then I think liberals would have gotten off their asses immediately after seeing how close the damn race was. It would have been a mad rush to the polls for both democrats AND republicans to make sure trump didn't get elected. Instead we have this system of "MERRY CHRISTMAS" or "SURPRISE!", no takesies backsies for the next 4 years EHEHE! Well shit, this is the damn presidential election, why is there no countermeasures to prevent a trojan victory??

The second thing that should happen in the future if the 1st isn't effective is to make not voting ILLEGAL. A fine must be paid if you decide not to vote...a fine of lets say $100, which will be collected and used to pay down the national debt.
