Judging by the sales I'm guessing that quite a few people never tried out Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360. That's one of the best games I've played this generation. The review averages at gamerankings and metacritic amaze me. Game was more like a 95% imo. A lot of critics that reviewed it played a beta that had some problems and they never bothered to update their scores when the game shipped minus the problems, or that's what I've heard anyway. I don't even play a lot of Japanese RPG's, FF13 being the only other one I've played this gen (Decent but definitely not on LO's level). But that one I really liked.
So essentially, all that ram is going to be thrown away for the os and the ability to suspend games, which I couldn't care less about, kinect is essential 'nuff said, the gpu isn't really that much stronger than the Wii U's and mandatory installs are simply annoying.
Sounds like the Wii U to Durango is going to be specced like ps2 was to the original Xbox.
Sounds good.
Tessellation
Wii U GPU :550MHz = 176GFLOPs
Durango GPU :800MHz = 1.2Tflops
It's bad compared to what is rumored to be in PS4 but c'mon, it's a lot better than what's in Wii U.
Hello, first post here. I haven't owned a Sony console since PS1. Use to have original Xbox and now have Xbox 360. Naturally my plan has been to eventually get Xbox Durango or whatever it will be called. But I gotta say these rumors are disappointing to me. I can't understand why they would elect to go with a GPU so far behind the one alleged to be in PS4. I've always heard there's a lot of corporate espionage that goes on when giant companies are working on electronics hardware. You'd think some mole would tell the MS brass "Hey, their GPU is 50% better than yours" and they'd say "Holy crap!" and order their engineers to narrow the gap. Considering that MS is in better financial shape than Sony is if these consoles launch with PS4 truly having 50% better graphics processing in it than Xbox does that will be bizarre to me. The GDDR3 RAM doesn't bother me though. Sure, the speed of it is a negative but the sheer amount of it is a positive. So it ain't all bad news on that front. Then I find out about this SuperDaE guy claiming the Xbox specs are wrong, that they're outdated, and that Kotaku will be publishing an article with new, better specs. So then the article comes out and there's nothing new in it other than to say that Kinect will be mandatory, which makes things worse, certainly not better. Hello?!!! Where's the new specs? Looks like the same underpowered GPU other sources have been talking about. I guess some people would say what's wrong with 1.2 tflops. How do you come off calling that underpowered? Well, it's more than just a little inferior to what is said to be in PS4 and it's wayyyyy behind where GPU tech stands in 2013.
