RE1-Chapter 20: Under the Courtyard

Jill reached the bottom and saw that this whole place is hollowed out. She saw a metal door and went inside. An elevator leading down was in the center, but the control panel was fried. In this room was another steel door that she entered. Jill followed this dug-out hallway that spiraled to the center. At the end, Jill saw another S.T.A.R.S. officer sitting against the wall. It was Enrico Marini, the Bravo team leader.

"Enrico!" Jill shouted as she came to him.

"Jill, Umbrella did this." Enrico informed Jill.

"Your saying Umbrella made these mutants?"

"Yes, and someone in S.T.A.R.S.is a traitor."

"Who is it?"

"It's..." BANG! Someone shot Enrico, killing him.

Jill heard footsteps as someone made a break for it. Who could be the traitor? Jill got up and prepared to get out. When she turned the corner, one of the reptile mutants jumped out. Jill readied her grenade launcher and fired one acid round in the creature's torso. She continued past it and back in the ladder corridor.

Jill went to the other side and saw another door. She walked in. Now she was in a narrow but long hallway. She saw a stone boulder at one end while a dead end was at the other. Jill walked up to the boulder and saw old dried blood under it.

The huge stone began rolling down. Jill made a run for it and did a diving roll into the area poking out the room. Jill watched as the rock rolled through the wall, revealing a set of double doors. Jill went inside.

Large white spider webs covered the ground and ceiling. Jill watched as a large spider, bigger that the ones she saw at the dormitory, crawled across the ceiling. Jill silently tiptoed to the other door and began to cut the webs off it. She slowly opened the door and quietly went inside.

In this narrow hall was a door on her left. Jill entered it.

The walls were plaster in this room with a table in the center. Jill saw a book entitled Eagle of South, Wolf of North. She picked it up, and noticed it's abnormal weight. Jill opened the book and found a silver circular medal with a wolf on it. Jill toke it with her and left the room. At the end of the hall was another door that she walked inside.

It twisted and turned in this place. Jill got to the end and saw a lift going up. She rode it and appeared on the surface.

Large steel doors were to Jill's left, but they were jammed. In front of her was a pool of water with two statues with a round hole in each. One of the holes had the wolf inscribed in it, so Jill place it in. The other had an eagle in it. Now I need to find this. She began to go down.

Chris reached the garden, after rescuing Rebecca, and saw that the lift was powered. He rode it down and saw that the there was no falling water. In its place was a hidden passage down a ladder. Chris went down it.

Chris walked past the door with the dead Enrico and entered the boulder hall. Chris walked to his right and found a great thing: a flamethrower. He equipped it and went past the gray rock.

The spider saw Chris and jumped down, preparing for battle. No match for my little friend. Chris walked around and began to singe the arachnid with the flamethrower. Eventually, the spider succombed to the heat and collapsed. Chris continued on his way.

In the hall, he saw Jill.

"Chris, have you seen a medal with an eagle on it?" Jill asked.

Chris showed her the medallion."You mean this?"

Jill took it."Follow me."

Chris followed Jill up to the pool. She placed the eagle medal in place. The water began to drain as a stone staircase leading down to an elevator was revealed.

"Jill, I think that's the entrance to the lab under the mansion,"Chris said as he remembered from the diary. "Let's go down." The two of them walked in the elevator and made their journey down,

RE1-Chapter 19: Return of the Snake

Jill walked in the stair room, with her grenade launcher with two normal rounds left. She let loose one round in the reptile monster, which fell on the floor, red blood squirting out on the floor. She climbed the stairs and released the last unloaded round into it as the enemy lunged at Jill. She saw no monsters and reloaded the launcher with the acid rounds from earlier. She went past the aquarium room and found a new door. In this room was an un-lit fireplace. She walked past it and found a locked door that could be unlocked with her new key. She entered.

Jill still carried the launcher in her hands as she walked past the fireplace. There was a blue-ish piano in the back. When Jill got close to it, she heard something sliding down the fireplace. The snake that ate Richard slithered out and gradually got closer to Jill.

It struck its head at her, but she dove and rolled behind it just in time for the snake to smack into the floor, revealing a covered hole. Jill unloaded two acid rounds on the serpent, but it didn't work. She quickly thought of a great plan. Jill waited until the snake opened it's big mouth, and then she fired two grenades in the mouth. The snake, obviously feeling pain, began to twirl around and slam in the walls until it finally collapsed on the floor. A blood pool began to come out of it's mouth until it slowly died.

Jill commented,"That's what you get for murdering Richard." She put up the launcher and began to look at the large hole near the piano. She did a 180-degree turn when she heard a door open and close. Barry came in the room.

"Hey, Jill,"he said as he walked over to Jill and the gaping hole. Barry suggested,"I found some rope. Do you want to go down?"

"Sure." Barry lined the rope against the wall and held the end as Jill began to transverse down the rope ladder.

"See anything?" Barry asked to Jill when she touched the bottom.

All Jill could see was an unmarked tombstone at the end."Nothing really interesting."

Barry accidentally dropped the rope."D***! Jill, wait here. I'll get another rope." Barry left the room.

Jill walked to the tombstone. A button was on it, which she pressed. The stone moved back, revealing a hidden ladder, but she trusted Barry, and before she went down, she waited for Barry to return.

"Here's another rope," Barry said as he dropped it down.

Jill replied,"Barry, I found another way out. I think I'll look down there."

Barry brought the rope back up."Okay, then. I guess we'll see each other later." He left the room.

Jill went down the ladder, and entered a corridor with three spiders in it. She got out her shotgun and blasted all their heads off. She continued on her way.

A similar hallway was waiting, but had two of the human-like monsters walking around. She aimed for the head of one andblasted it clean off. Jil got out her old baretta and shot through the skull of the other. The room branched two ways, and she went down one way. A circuit breaker was found, and Jill turned on the kitchen elevator. She went down the other way, and entered the door at the end. The kitchen was this room. Jill went down to the elevator and entered it.

Jill got out at her stop. She entered double doors at her left. Walls upon walls of books filled this area. Upon closer inspection, one of the bookcases was out more than the rest, so she pushed it out. A small room overlooking the woods was this room. Jill looked out the window and saw a heliport out there. Maybe we can escape over there. Jill returned to the elevator and went past it, and entered another room.

A small supply closet was this. Jill found two sets of shells for the shotgun. She picked one up and reloaded it. Jill also found a large battery. She realized that it could activate the courtyard elevator. She took it with her and left the room. To her right was another door that was locked, but she undid the lock and entered. She was above the medicine room. Jill ran through this side of the mansion, the main hall, the east side, and returned to the courtyard.

She went across the bridge and entered the waterfall area. She placed in the battery and rode the lift up to the garden. Jill went to the stone bridge, but instead of crossing, she turned the crank, stopping the water flow. She returned to the waterfall area, and saw that behind the waterfall was a hollowed out hallway with a ladder leading down. Jill climbed it down.

RE1-Chapter 18: Return to the Mansion

Chris and Jill went inside the mansion by the path outside. When they got more into the hallway, they heard a door close behind them. They looked back and saw what was like a large green reptile on two legs with claws on their hands. It ran right at Jill, but Chris unloaded three of the five remaining shells in the unloaded shotgun. Chris watched it squirm around until it became quiet.

"What is that?"Jill wondered.

"It probably is deadly,"Chris said."We should split up again."

"Sure,"Jill responded."I'll go check in here." She pointed to then stairs hallway.

"I guess I'll go look on the west side again." He left and entered the main hall. He went back to the hallway above where he met Rebecca the first time. He saw two of those new monsters and brought out the shotgun and swiftly ended their lives. To the right of the stairs were two doors. The one at the end was locked from the inside. The other was unlocked when he placed in the helmet key. He entered.

Chris saw a stuffed deer head and a stuffed bear head on two walls, with a stuffed eagle between them. On the floor were two brown arm chairs on the outside of a coffee table. A note was on the table. Chris picked it up and read it.

Umbrella Inc.

Umbrella did all of this! Chris thought to himself after putting the letter down on the table. He found a light switch and turned it off. He could see something glowing in the stuffed heads and took them out of the large animals. There was a topaz, and a sapphire. Chris took them with him. He went out the room, down the stairs, and into the bedroom hallway. Across the bedroom was a door, and Chris went inside.

Areally small room was what Chris entered. He looked at a tiger statue in a wall and saw that it had no eyes. Chris got out the jewel and saw that the topaz and sapphire could fit inside. He placed the blue gem in the left eye, and the statue turned around and revealed a fully loaded Colt Python magnum with a clip of ammunition. When Chris took it out, the statue turned back around and revealed it's face. Chris put in the topaz in the other, and it spun around and showed a book named Eagle of South, Wolf of North. Chris lifted it, but it felt heavier than what it should be, so he opened it and saw a shiny gold circular medallion with an eagle on it. Chris threw down the book and took the medal.

Chris figured he saw what was left of the mansion and began to leave. When he got to the hall where he encountered the new enemy, he heard a shriek coming from up the stairs. That sounded like Rebecca!. Chris raced up the stairs, entered the curtain hallway, and entered a door to his right.

Rebecca was screaming for help as one of those monsters was slowly approaching her. Rebecca reached for the door, but she couldn't open it. Chris, being the hero that he is, got out his new magnum, and shot one bullet in the creatures skull, filling it instantly. Rebecca calmed down seeing how Chris saved her.

"Thank you so much, Chris," Rebecca said as she got up.

Chris wondered,"What happened?"

"I ran out of ammo for my gun."

Chris gave her two clips for her baretta. "Just be careful next time, okay?"

"I think I will. Again, Chris, thanks."

"No problem," Chris said as he left Rebecca in the study.

RE1-Chapter 17: Rebecca's Adventure

Chris went down the lonely hallway Jill was in earlier. Near the "002" room was a locked door with a sign reading "Gallery" next to it. Chris used his new key and unlocked it.

Chris surveyed the area and saw a table with a paper on it. Chris picked it up and read it. It told of a large plant named "Plant 42" which its roots planted in the basement area, and became three times its size from T-Virus polluted water. Chris laid it down and continued on his way. On his left was a metal door with a small glass window in it. He saw colorful chemicals scattered on shelves. He dared not touch them; he hardly knows anything about mixing chemicals, so he turned around and left. Across the table was a door labelled "003". Chris, of course, entered.

Another dorm room was in front of him. The difference was that large roots were crushing the wall behind the bed. He found a bookcase with all red books on a row except for a white one. Chris pulled it out, and saw the cover. Chemical Report on V-Jolt was on the cover of this file. Chris didn't read it, but placed it in his side pack. He noticed that the empty red book he got earlier can was similar to the row of books, so he fit it in the gap. A nearby bookcase slid to the right, revealing a hidden door. Chris walked in.

Chris saw on the ceiling what those researchers named Plant 42. A huge plant with vines lashing out and a covered bulb made it up. Chris got closer to it, but one vine snatched him off the floor and clung to him tightly so he couldn't escape.

"Let me go!" Chris yelled when he tried fidgeting out. One Rebecca behind a set of double doors leading into a gallery heard the distress signal and went inside.

Rebecca looked up and saw Chris flying around the room on a vine. "Chris!" she yelled.

"Rebecca!"Chris yelled back. He was able to reach in his pack and pull out the white book. Chris threw it on the floor next to Rebecca. "Use this! Make a potion! Use it on the roots in the basement!"

Rebecca nodded and rushed out the door and into the chemical room. She looked inside the book and read it to find out what to do.

The similarities in the cellular characteristics of the rapidly growing plant infected by the Tyrant Virus have been reported in previous papers. However, while repeating these experiments, an interesting new fact became clear.

We learned that a chemical in the UMB family, UMB #20, contains a compound that is toxic to the cells of the plant.

We have given UMB #20 a new name: V-JOLT. If calculations prove correct, when V-JOLT is applied directly to the root of the plant, the entire plant should be dead within 5 seconds.

The V-JOLT can be made by simply mixing the VP and UMB chemicals in a specific ratio. However, extra care must be taken when handling these UMB chemicals. They have been known to generate toxic gases if mishandled.

The characteristics of each UMB chemical are as follows:

   UMB No. 3      red

   Yellow-6       yellow

   UMB No. 7   green

   UMB No.10   orange

   VP-017       blue

   V-JOLT      dark brown

Rebecca began to mix the chemicals by using four empty bottles. With help from the book and notes on the walls, Rebecca made the V-JOLT chemical. She ran through the gallery and into room "002", stormed down the ladder and in the now drained tank, and entered the room Jill didn't look in.

Huge squirming roots were coming in the ceiling. Rebecca opened the bottle with Plant 42's poison and sprinkled it in the roots. She saw the roots begin to shrink until they finally withered. Rebecca left the room saying,"I hope Chris is alright."

In the plant's room,on the surface, The vine holding Chris finally lost its grip and dropped him on the ground. Chris got up from the floor and watched as the plant began to wither, and began to disappear. "Finally,"Chris said. The plant regained it's form and was ready to battle."It's never too easy."

Chris got out the defence magnum, and shot the last bullet in the plant when the petals opened. Then, he brought out the assault shotgun and fired two of the seven shells left in it. The plant literally started to fall apart as it's vines and petals fell on the wooden ground. Chris went over to the fireplace on the other side and found a key with a helmet inscribed on it. He picked it up, and left the magnum with no bullets left in it's place. He walked out of the room.

Jill followed Rebecca up the ladder and into the gallery, just in time for Chris to come out.

"Chris, you're still alive!"Rebecca said with joy.

   "What happened?" Jill asked Chris.

"A monster plant caught me and wouldn't let go. Luckily, Rebecca here was able to make a poison and spread it on the roots, setting me free from the plant's clutches."answered Chris.

"Oh, Chris?"Rebecca said."I found another pharmacy. I'm going to stock up on more supplies. Just come in if you're hurt or something." Rebecca ran off in the chemical room.

   "We better go."suggested Jill.

"You're right."Chris answered. The two left the gallery.

When they both came around the corner, Wesker was shooting at three large spiders. "Chris, Jill, You both are still alive."

"Where'd you run off?"Jill questioned suspiciously.

Wesker replied,"I had some business to take care of."He paused for a moment."Why don't you two go back in the mansion. I'm sure there are still rooms left to check."

Jill and Chris both answered,"Okay." They went back outside the dormitory.

As they reached the waterfall area, Jill's radio went off again.

  "This.....Brad, please...swer me."

"Jill to Brad, Can you hear me!"

  "Just......a sign."

"Jill to Brad! Please hear this!" The transmission stopped. "Chris, what are we going to do?"

"If only we could send him a signal. Let's focus on staying alive for now."

The duo went across the bridge, entered the garden, and entered the storeroom. Barry left a note saying about he left ammo for them to protect themselves. Jill found two sets of flame rounds, and found two clips for the baretta. Chris picked up the three boxes of shotgun shells and two baretta clips. "Let's go,"commanded Chris

RE1-Chapter 16: Shark Attack

Jill touched the bottom of the ladder and walked off it. She followed this hallway to the end, where water started to flow from under this door, but Jill continued on her way.

This room had water flowing on the metal grates. Jill looked in the center and saw a large cylindrical tube that had burst from the inside. Jill looked far away and saw two doors. When Jill walked more, she heard something rushing in the water, and when she looked down, two sharks tried to crunch on her. She got out her shotgun and blasted at them, making them float to the surface. She heard something even bigger swimming at her. Jill made a run for it, seeing a gigantic shark open its jaws and tried to eat Jill. She ran to some doors on the left side and quickly went inside.

Jill saw a ladder leading down and climbed it. At the base, she looked around and saw levers and switches to control this sub-merged laboratory. She found one to drain the water and tried top activate it. She looked at the glass as the large shark rammed against it, causing an emergency lockout. Jill swiftly grabbed the lever that brought down pressure shelters over the windows, but it stopped halfway. the oil pressure was screwed up.

Jill looked at papers on a desk that told what button to press. She found the correct one and pushed it. The shelter reset and she pulled the lever again. This time, it worked and the windows were covered. She resumed the draining. When the draining ceased, she exited the room through a door.

She was on the base of this underground area and followed a path. She saw sharks gasping for water, but she walked on. She reached an area with the large shark in a little pool of water, with an electrical device on a raised platform. She climbed on the platform, and saw a key in a metal box. When Jill tried to grab it, the shark started to splash around, knocking the key off. Jill thought quickly, and she pushed the device in the water, and activated it. Electricity flowed through the water, frying the shark until it was truely dead. She turned it of and retrieved the key from the water. It had a picture of a helmet inscribed on it.

When she climbed up, she saw a woman wearing a bulletproof vest come out of the room Jill didn't explore. Jill stopped her and asked,"Who are you?"

She answered in a hurry,"I'm Rebecca Chambers from Bravo team, but I can't talk now." She rushed up the surface ladder. Jill followed her.

RE1-Chapter 15: Hangman

Chris went in the room with the "001" plaque over it. When Chris entered the room, he thought it was a dorm room. As he reached twords the center, he looked up and saw a man that hung himself with ropes. Chris went past him and got to a desk with a magnum with one bullet left, and a bloody suicide note under the gun. Chris picked up the weapon an read the paper.

  June 22, 1998

I had to do it. We ran from those things-helping each other to survive. But Robert started to show symptoms. I had to do it. Those d*** things are pure evil.

There was no other way. He would have done the same if it were the other way around. After I put him out of his misery I had to just leave him in the bathroom. Now I'm probably the last one...

How could this happen? I'll never forgive myself for being part of this project. Eventually I'll get what's coming to me, though. There's co way to escape from this nut house. It's just a matter of time now.

Everything is set. All I need is a little courage to get it done. Knowing that I'll leave many things undone is regret beyond words.

But, this is better than just waiting to turn into one of them. Please understand and at least let me end my life as a person.

Chris found more writing on the back.

  Linda, please forgive me...

Chris put the note down, but took the gun with him. Before he left, he found a door and entered it. It was a bathroom. Chris looked down and found the person the note writer killed. Chris looked on a shelf, and found a key labelled "gallery" and took it with him. He heard a loud SNAP! in the other room, so he faced the door and tried to leave.

The corpse on thwe floor got up and held onto Chris. Chris quickly broke the monster's neck. He left the room.

He found the guy on the noose walking around, but Chris just raced out the door. In the entrance hallway, he went in a set of double doors. Inside was another lounge with a bar, a pool table, and some pinball machines. As Chris walked in, he heard something crawling on the ceiling and looked up.

A huge spider was crawling on the ceiling. Chris got out Richard's shotgun, and fired at the arachnid's thorax, and in one hit, it exploded and fell on the floor. Chris continued to the bar and found a red book. When he looked in it, nothing was written in it, but he still took it with him. He returned to the entrance hallway and went in the door Jill walked in earlier.

RE1-Chapter 14: The Voices

Jill ran down this hallway with windows peeking in the woods. As she reached the end, she found a door labelled "002" above it. When Jil approached it, she could hear a conversation between people. Jill began to eavesdrop.

"No, that wasn't part of our deal," said one voice." I told you, I have my orders."

"But it's not necessary to destroy S.T.A.R.S.," another voice said.

"Don't be a hard dog to keep under the porch, Barry."

"What about my family?" the second voice asked.

The first voice answered,"I will guarantee their safety,...if I play my cards right." Jill noticed that the talking ended. She gathered her courage and entered the room.

   Barry saw her and said,"Jill."

Jill walked up, and asked,"Barry, I thought I heard someone talking?"

"Oh, you heard." Barry leaned against a desk in this dorm. "I think age is starting to take its toll on me. Talking to myself is becoming a bad habit."

"Talking to yourself?" Jill walked up to Barry." You alright? What's gotten into you?"

Barry got up."I'm getting you worried, aren't I? But don't worry. I guess this creepy mansion has gotten to my nerves. Anyway, I think I'll go outside, get some fresh air for a change." He began to leave. Jill followed him to the door." I'm just getting some fresh air. I'll be lucky if I get to waste some monsters on the way." Barry exited the room.

Jill started to investigate the room, and found three bookcases in the back, across a bed with dried blood on it. She saw that they could be moved around. She pushed the left one in, and pushed the middle one out, and behind it was a steel ladder leading down into the basement. Jill grasped it with her hands and carefully climbed down.

RE1-Chapter 13: Adventures in the Courtyard

Chris and Jill looked around and saw various gardening tools and equipment. On one shelf, Chris found a square ended metal crank. Why would this be here? The two entered through double doors across from the back door of the mansion.

They saw lines of whithered flora lined up against the sides of the walls. Jill heard some static from Richard's radio. When she got it out, she heard Brad's voice.

"Where did you get a radio?" Chris asked.

"Before Richard was eaten, he gave me it." responded Jill.

"Is any...alive down there?"said Brad at the other end.

Jill tried to respond. "Jill to Brad, can you hear me?"

  "Please, i...anyone's alive,...spond."

Jill tried once more."Jill to Brad, can you hear me?" No response. The message stopped. "S***! It's broken."

"We need to send him a sign, but how?" Chris asked.

"Let's think about it later. Right now, we need to stay alive."

The two found an elevator leading down, but it wouldn't respond. Instead, they went through a rusty old gate.

This area had a large water source in the center, blocking the way to the other side. A square hole was to the left of them. Chris got an idea. "Wait here," he said as he returned to the garden. He ran inside the shed, retrieved the crank, and returned to the water area. "Let's use this." he said. He placed it in the hole and began to turn the crank. A gate lifted as water began to rush down, revealing a stone bridge to the other side. Jill and Chris went across it and rode an elevator down.

It was an area with a small fountain in the center. A waterfall guarded the entrance to a new area beneath the water source. The first elevator was stuck, and the two saw that the battery was missing. They continued on their way pass the falls, and entered a gray gate.

The two followed the path to a building, and they entered it.

It was a hallway leading to four doors, on of them labelled "001". The wooden floor had a couple of holes in it. Jill walked over one, and a huge vine rose and grabbed her left leg. Chris swiftly snatched his knife out and began slicing the vine, until it recoiled back under the hole. The two found a map of this building.

"Why don't you go look over in that hall while I look around here more?" Chris suggested as he pointed to one of the doors.

Jill nodded and went in the direction Chris pointed and closed the door on her way in.

When Jill returned to above the dining room, she looked below, and saw Chris. "Chris!" she called out.

"Jill!" responded Chris when he looked up at her. "Let's go in the main hall!" The both entered the foyer and met up on the 1st floor.

  "Jill, good to see ya."

"Likewise." Jill informed Chris that Richard was eaten by a snake. "He left his shotgun on the floor, but I picked it up." Jill got it out."You should take it."

  Chris accepted the weapon.

"Chris, we need to get out of here. I found a back door, but it was locked." Jill reached in her side pack and pulled out the three medallions. "I think these are our way out. There should be another one out there."

"You mean, like this?" asked Chris as he got out the star emblem.

"Yes, and that should be the last of them. Follow me." Jill lead Chris through east side until they reached the locked door.

Jill showed him the diagram. "If we put them in correctly, it should release the lock. Let's give it a try."

The two of them pieced it correctly, and formed a picture of day turning into night. A click happened, and the door lock released. Chris and Jill entered the door.

RE1-Chapter 11: The Big A** Snake

Jill returned to the hallway where Richard was with her new launcher.

"Richard, you feeling better?" Jill asked him.

"I am, thank you." Richard responded.

"Good, I think I'm going to look around some more." She went up to the door Richard ran through.

"Jill, be careful. I'll rest for a while longer. Just go on ahead." Jill went in the room.

A small hallway was this new room. Jill noticed at the end was a set of stairs that touched a wooden door that looked like something rammed against it on the other side. On the wall near the bottom of the steps was a smeared blood-red hand print. Jill walked up the stairs and carefully opened the door.

The walls were wood in this room. Various nicknacks line up the sides. Jill looked up and saw a large opening in the roof. Jill began to reload her baretta and took out her grenade launcher loaded with six rounds. In the back, she saw a gold medal sitting on a pile of cardboard boxes. When Jill reached the center, she heard a noise and looked up. A large snake started to climb down the hole. Jill looked at it as it almost reached the floor. It lunged out at her, but she quickly sidestepped to her left. The snake got on the floor.

Jill was eyeing the serpent and saw its impressive fangs as it looked like it yawned. Jill heard a door open and close. Richard came in as he reloaded his favorite weapon, an silver assault shotgun. Jill quickly sprinted away from the serpent as it tried to bite her. She ran to the other side and picked up the medal that had wind pictured on it. Jill returned to the front and fired grenades at the snake with Richard. Eventually, the snake collapsed. The two calmed down.

"Thanks for coming in and helping me," thanked Jill as she put away the grenade launcher with two rounds left.

  "No problem," Richard answered.

The snake rose up and was darting at Jill.

"Jill! Look out!" Richard yelled as he pushed Jill out of the way, but the snake got him instead. Richard dropped his weapon as the snake started to gulp him down.

"Richard!" Jill cried as Richard was being swallowed down. She sprung up when the serpent began to stare at her.

She ran past it. Jill bent down to get Richard's shotgun, but the snake caught up to her and injected its fangs in her left leg, poisoning Jill. She got the gun and opened the doorway out.

As Jill reached the bottom of the stairs with Richard's shotgun in her hands, everything around her began to go fuzzy.
