@vs_shield: Yes, it really is EXACTLY the same looking, it really is. (/sarcasm mode off). Why don't you actually look at a couple of screenshots before blattering on so much??
@slickwilly06: Loading times are influenced by A LOT of other factors as well. Such as the CPU speed (cause files are unpacked, super CPU heavy) and the amount of system RAM. More RAM means MUCH shorter loading times. On the PC you could sometimes cut loading times to 1/4 the length just by means of a RAM upgrade. The new consoles have 16 times as much RAM as the old ones.
@gameplayuk: Really? I bet that looks like this as well: https://images.contentful.com/rporu91m20dc/jZOX9c9IqcwWcuKUG2mY6/47a143d68694bf6b43a20b708c64af8f/data.images.event.221.TundraStreamFULL.png https://downloads.contentful.com/rporu91m20dc/4mcKOxqfmEO4U2MgmSmEQA/eec37088bf8164516bae8d4b72a92ab3/data.images.event.221.FallForestFULL.png
You gotta admit, that's one enormous difference compared to the original's graphics.
@yukushi: Actually, you can save money by playing early. I bought Origin Access for one month (costs: 4 euros) so I could save 10% on the price of the game. Anyways, the game cost 130 euros for the Ultimate Edition. Meaning I saved 13 euros. Also bought a couple of other games, saving 10% on the cost of those as well. And I can already play Battlefield 1. I will cancel my Origin Access membership again before the month is passed, which is very easy to do. Lot's of people do it this way.
@Gravity_Slave: Lol, you trolling? It's 33% for everyone dude. And I jumped right into the game with only 33% downloaded. What I could play was a couple of campaign missions. For Multiplayer you have to let it download everything.
@Ripper_TV: The game looks better than ever to me with incredibly sharp visuals. Maybe you should check out some screenshots with less compression on them? I suggest these:
These are PNG images so they don't have the usual JPG blurriness to them. The images are also higher res. I'm sure that on PC you can get the game to look even better than these pics. Remember, these are the vanilla graphics of the remaster. You can still put a couple of mods on top of this.
@noirtenshin: Ok, so after the patch you can choose yourself between:
- locked 30 fps
- locked 60 fps
- variable or unlocked fps
If you don't like the first two options, just choose the third option!??!? With variable or unlocked fps, you can let the framerate vary between 40-70 fps, if that is what your system outputs. Just don't enable Vsync and you'll be totally fine. Ok, problem solved??
And if you're that concerned with tearing, just enable a framerate limit in Nvidia Inspector. You can open your most recent version of Nvidia Inspector and go to Start Profile Inspector with the little green button. Then go to the profile for Mafia III. Then enable the Frame Rate Limiter and put it on whatever value pleases you (60 fps, 45 fps, 40 fps). If your system can hold that value well, there won't be that much tearing. It really helps wonderfully. If that isn't good enough for you, and you want no tearing at all, buy a Gsync monitor.
@xpertmom: The real GameSpot video player does have a quality setting. But they have a special special video player for adblock users. That one doesn't have a quality setting (and also worse and blurrier picture quality). Try a different browser without adblock.
