@Kjranu: "Gamers will certainly pay for an AMD card at half the price if it offers performance that is close to 2070 or even 2080."

Half the price as a 2070 or 2080? My friend, you did not read the article at all! The Radeon 7 is a 700 US dollar card. You can add sales taxes on top of that.

The AMD Radeon 7 is going to bomb. With the Fury line-up having close to zero sales among gamers, and the Vega line-up having close to zero sales among gamers, I think it's clear nobody wants a really expensive AMD GPU for gaming. Fury and Vega did sell a little, but for other purposes. You can verify with Steam's hardware survey for example that AMD is not doing very well in the gaming GPU market.

700 US Dollars for an AMD GPU, that's basically twice what anyone is willing to give for that brand. There are people who are willing to spend that much on a GPU for gaming, but all of them buy an Nvidia card. I don't really want to go into the reasons for that, but here's a couple: power consumption, performance, stability, quality of the drivers.

But anyways, I guess this is a good thing for the benchmarks. It was getting boring to only see Nvidia on top everywhere. With the Radeon 7, there will be at least one Radeon card in the sub-top of the benchmarks.

Strange that the article doesn't discuss Red Dead Redemption 2 coming to the PC or not.

Would it not be logical for a portion of the Rockstar employees to port Red Dead Redemption 2 to the PC, while the majority of the company works on a next-gen title?

Frostpunk should probably have been on this list! It's $20.09 on Steam, which is basically 20 dollars. It can be acquired for around 15 dollars at official retailers that sell Steam keys, such as Green Man Gaming. (Some of those official stores allow vouchers to get below the regular discounted price, for example an additional 12-15% discount.)

Frostpunk is a very recent game, which GameSpot itself gave a 9/10 in their review. So, it's a very strange omission from this list.

@phoenix1289: That's actually not a bad tip! The game looked somewhat interesting to me, and I've added it to my library! Maybe I will play it some day!

A much better tip than GameSpot's freebie, as that Battle Royale game did not look appealing at all.

@mbounce88: I've had this account here on GameSpot since 2004. So... explain yourself. How can this account belong to Bethesda?

The best thing for me was, that on Uplay you could get an ADDITIONAL 20% discount, by spending 100 Ubisoft Club Points. That additional discount applies to your ENTIRE order, which can be huge. This actually made Uplay the cheapest store for me. There were other stores which went below the Uplay price, with an additional voucher for 12% off for example. But no store offered an additional 20% off.

Uplay in practice accepts the additional 20% off for EVERY game. It might state somewhere that this is not for new games, but I applied it to AC: Odyssey (and several other new games in the past) without issues.

And oh yeah, you get a free Rayman game with your order on Uplay. Rayman: Legends.

@Lordcrabfood: Maybe go play a game you do like then! Instead of sending me messages! If I like Fallout 76 and I bought it for 35 euros, I am allowed to play it. And this article here is about this very game. Maybe you should select more on what articles to read, and especially on what articles to comment on.
