Don't forget you don't need ear plugs anymore... if you get the strange urge to duct tape a screaming 8 year old to your ear that is just a side effect of having been with XBL for so long. In time it will go away.
Does anybody still back the DRM excuse "cloud" as being a reliable way to supplement power?
1. GAF leaks showed that MS patented cloud for DRM use. Cloud is an excuse to make people think always online is a good thing.
2. Many devs who have used cloud have said that the scale MS is talking about using cloud is beyond a fairy tale. It has been confirmed however that some pre-rendered lighting or shading could be incorporated in taking a little strain off the OS.

4. Anybody thinking cloud is a reasonable idea... well I hope you have a SUPER FAST internet connection.. if it is just average like mine? lol.. no. Do you know how much unbroken streaming information that would take? 20MB a second would get close to handling it... I'm only at 7 up and 5 down... even if it "worked" it would be a laggy mess.
5. Microsoft thought they had the stronger console up until it was too late. There is a reason we didn't hear too much about the "cloud" until MS knew their console was beat. This is corporate damage control, and confirmed by some ex employees.
Cloud is just an enticing way of selling "always on" to ignorant people. They are trying to prey on their customers, not build a relationship with them. Microsoft simply wants to BUY success this coming generation, not earn it.
Those saying the X1 still stands a chance against the PS4... lets look at some "off the top of my head" history..
1. SONY caught up in sales to the 360 after a $600 console release and a year later in the race. Why? The price dropped and sales went up. The PS4 is releasing for $200 dollars less than the asking price of the PS3 at launch. The cheaper Xbox 360 helped it to sell better.
2. PS3 Cell architecture was hard to develop for, and STILL the top rated games this generation were on the PS3. This time they are both using x86 and SONY is the more powerful console. Most multiplat games will be made for the PS4 first and X1 will have inferior multiplats this gen.
3. X1 is imposing policies that the majority of gamers do not want to stand for. With the PS4 going the opposite direction... we don't have to. The fence sitters have a pretty easy decision, and there are a lot more of those then loyal fanboys.
4. SONY got cocky with the PS3 and admitted it.. They confronted fans saying sorry and said it would not happen again. The PS4 details show that to be very true with more developers and a more OPEN system then ever. Microsoft slapped their fans in the face with SEVERAL policies and took away even more gaming rights.
5. SONY had their 3rd console curse... looks like it is Microsoft's turn... however, with the crap they are trying to pull it's as if they just didn't want to break traditions...
