Yeah, game you would probably not have touched otherwise right?
I think the most breath taking thing about this generation will be the immersive aspect. If we truly have HUGE draw distances and larger scale... I might get that feeing for just a few seconds.
It will be nice to see thousands of moving things onscreen at once :) That one million object test SONY did amazed me. Hopefully this coming gen is what I was hoping for this gen.
If this was your favorite generation... I think you are in for a very big surprise!
Sadly... I feel you in that regard. However, as we age and look at the spark in our children's eyes, it helps bring back some of that feeling for me. I have a 5 year old and 6 year old and they look at the original Mario on the NES like I did so many years ago.
You know what's funny? I started playing a few of their games with them, and it is like it re-opened a door to genres I have not played in years. Refreshing to go back and play some genres you have not touched in awhile :) Maybe try that out?
Improved AI, more onscreen, longer draw distances, more open worlds, no more "hallway" shooters, faster or NO load times= seamless worlds, the beat goes on.
SONY already said they apologize for overconfidence with the PS3. Basically they admitted to screwing up. It was that 3rd console curse! X1 is MS's 3rd console. SONY needs PS4 to do well. I have stayed on top of the two from the mention of them, and imo SONY in a landslide. BTW I was not a huge fan of PS3 or 360. Like I told you before, I was almost done too... however the PS4 looks to be a HUGE improvement over 3. 3 was a "guinea pig" for SONY, and they paid the price for that experiment.
PS4 is looking good man. I felt the same way at the beginning of the current generation of gaming, but the PS4 gives me hope. Look into it at least. Even if you are a Microsoft fan, a lot of Xbox fans are jumping ship.
Just look at what happened after the Xbox reveal. SONY stock went up like 2% and EA made a deal to come back to Nintendo.... coincidence? No.
