Wow, this has been such a random evolution for me. I originally started out playing SP and loved them. Then I got obsessed with BF 1943 MP and BFBC2. I basically played those and nothing else for almost 9 months! Then, after seeing a couple games I really wanted to play, I fell back in love with SP. There really is nothing like submersing yourself in a story and really "escaping" when you have free time. When PSN went down, I went back to my collection and realized there were like 4 really great games I had barely touched.

I guess I have to say now it depends on my mood: MP for when I'm feeling social; SP for when I am truly escaping!

When you are playing BFBC2, don't you ever have matches where you and your squad mates are working well together and then friend each other afterward? That is a good way of making friends. Also, lots of MP games have clans you can join...

Battlefield ~ Hellz Yeah!

Just saw the poll percentage, apparently a whopping 78% agree that Battlefield is far superior. :D

Skyrim

BF 3

Would put Resistance 3 on the list, but the support for Resistance 2 was so poor, I lost a lot of faith in Insomniac and kind of feel they don't deserve my money. Plus, they really love to force the MP on gamers, to an extreme. (see Killing Machine trophy).

Demo 2.0 takes awhile and I got more than a few of my kills by "accident", but when I started trying for them, this is what I did: Play a level with a good number of buildings, I found Arica Harbor to be best. Wait until about 3/4 of the way through the match, when the buildings have been pretty beaten up. Then, spam 40 mm grenade or Carl Gustav at the weak spots in the building and cross your fingers somebody is in there. You'll eventually get it. GOOD LUCK!

When I go back and think about it, yeah, RDR was a pain in the butt to get plat! But, I had a couple of online friends going for the same trophies, which made it easier to get through the missions and stuff and it ended up being pretty fun.

Now Resistance 2, what a nightmare! I started playing this game again when PSN went down. By the time it came back up, I had all but the online trophies and decided what the heck - I should go for it. I just started grinding out Killing Machine (10,000 online kills) and it is gonna take me approximately 5 weeks to get it, and that's if I dedicate all my gaming time to just playing this one game.... URGHHHH!!!

I don't like forced MP trophies to begin with, but that, coupled with the fact that Resistance 2's MP logistics suck has put this at the top of my list of all time hardest games to plat. So far, anyway.

As for BFBC 2 - the destruction 2.0 trophy was one of my last to get for the plat. Using 40 mm grenades/Carl Gustav on buildings that had been beaten up already is how I got it. I just concentrated on a weak spot in the building and prayed an enemy was inside. I found Arica Harbor to be the best map to do this on. The c-4 is almost too powerful to use for the destruction, every time I rigged a building with it, the C-4 itself killed the enemy....

Platinums Earned: Fallout 3, Trine, Resident Evil 5, BFBC2, RDR. Currently Working on: GOW III and Resistance 2
