Having played every AC game since I started with Master of Arena, I have to say that AC5 is a lot of fun. The speed angle of the series has been tapped out, so taking it back to a game where slow and smart wins the day is pretty nice. It took me a couple days of didicated play to finally figure everything out, but I find myself favoring almost everything FromSoftware has changed about the series. The only gripe I have is the lack of people online, but that's not something the developers can directly affect.
I think AC5 takes the place as my 3rd favorite AC game, with MoA being second and Silent Line being first.
Who here in the PS3 Gamespot community still plays the online multiplayer ofRed Faction Guerrilla? For those who do a further question. is the DLC worth the money?
Space sims are a niche market. There aren't that many of us that like them any more, or so it seems. With the younger player mostly only having console and wanting to play games like modern warfare and other bloody gut filled games that let you shoot the boom sticks, there's just not that much intrest in ship based combat. Hell, even flight sims have largly fallen off the map! at work I never see kids purchase good games like Ace Combat 5 or Lethal skies.
On the flip side, with jump gate evolution coming out maybe we'll start seeing the genre come back.
