So to play PC games you get a MS platform called windows, like you get a 360 platform to play xbox games, most games in this world are played on MS systems, that is my point
windows is not hardware. the pc is an open platform. ms does not control the pc. they do not get money directly from pc gaming sales unless they happen to be publishing the game. the 360 and pc are not grouped together.
I'm following this conversation, and Casey is wrong... the OS for an overwhelming majority of gaming PC is Windows. MS owns Windows...ergo, as Windows OS goes, so goes profit for MS. Its very simple. Its roundabout, and not directly a gaming platform, but its still easy to make the connection. PC games=Windows(most of the time)=MS= profit. Simple. They aren't competing directly against another system such as Wii or PS3, but the profits made from PC games ran on Windows OS benefits Microsoft. There is no disputing that fact.
