I have a 56k Internet line, but a high-end PC.

My ping normally stays below 100.

You have no idea how long it took to update it, as I have a 56k internet line.

Around 10-13 hours.

If there is no real fix - Ill just have to deal with it I suppose. I have no idea why the German blood patch failed, TBH.

Ive tried many servers.

Around 15-20 and all have this problem -.-""

Maybe you have the parental control on, I think it's on the last tab of the options menu.ZuluEcho14

Recently have installed the Orange Box, and fully updated TF2.

And, to my suprise, the blood I had seen in game on my friends computer was not present. Instead there was some sort of yellow oil and when characters blew up, they would expell materials such as metal or tin cans.

I could live with this, but I would prefer to have the game as god intended :P.

Is there any way to fix this?

(Have tried the German blood fix, and so far no real result - have I done something wrong? [all files properly placed within folders etc etc])

Well, I apologise for sounding rude earlier.

To be fairly honest, this is just what I could make out from the guy over the phone. If you want I will post a new thread up with full specs when I recieve the PC.

Until then, this was all I could really make out from him.

On most games involving major HD lighting, the 8800GT performs slightly better... Im talking only about 4/5 frames here.

I payed £250 for a Computer that can run most maodern day games at med/high levels, on top of that, I will have spare cash to buy better components and upgrade said PC.

Even if I have been ripped off, I have 10 year warrenty.

Well, with the tax we have to pay in England... It all adds up.

And the bloke who is building it works for EVGA, and they'd be pissed if he lobbed another card in there, y'know?
