We all know its going to be Chaos.YOu know it, I know it, my cat knows it. So whats the point?

I would love to see the Nids in there. But their game mechanics would make this new squad-based thing far to complicated.

Well, I will be using Photoshop and C4D.

So I think the Quad is the best way to go. Also, i found that OC'd it can reach 3.2Ghz, and get a 20FPS lead on an overclocked E85 @ 4Ghz.

So I think its a simple choice now really.

Yes, its another CPU question from me.

Right.

Im pretty much set on having a Q6600 Quad 2.4Ghz against the E3500 3.5Ghz Dual Core.

But, there are a few things on my mind.

1. As I see it, I would need a QC for future gaming. However, when it comes to QC operating on games, im not sure how it works. If I buy a game which requires 3Ghz of CPU processing power using only one core, how would the QC help/hinder this, and does the extra core factor come into play?

2. Obviously many people have the opinion that getting the Q6600 is worthless due to there being better & cheaper QC's later when newer games come out, and therefore the E35 is much better for right now.

What are your opinions on which I should buy *The proce difference is non-considerable ATM, as its only £50*

Then there's the Extreme QC, but Im not paying an extra £600 on top of the PC's costs ;)

Thanks.

"Chaaaaaarge!"

In one final desperate move, the Hastatii defending Alesia from the Gallic hordes descnded from their hilltop fortification, slamming into the warlord's cavalry. Behind them, a struggling band of Roman Cavalry fought off three times their number in babarian horsemen. Arrow shafts clouded the dark skies, plucking men from saddles with screams of pain. It was then that the cries of hope began to ring: The barbarian leader had fallen.

The enemy began to retreat in their hundreds, the cavalry sweeping across their flanks, cutting dozens down as they went. The Hastatii cheered with all their might, they had beaten the unbeatable, they had won.

Roman army: 580

Gallic Army: 3543

Roman casualties: 447

Gallic Casualties: 3421

I almost cried with happiness in the light of my monitor on that day. After ten turns of seige, and a battle that lasted the better part of an hour, I had won a battle against all odds.

What are your proudest moments from Shogun, Medieval, Rome and Medieval 2?

You dont have to provide a story ;).

So, although the E8500 can beat the Q6600 at the moment, when the later games come into the fore, the E8500 will not perform as well as the Quad?

I will be replacing it with an 8800GT when i buy the desktop, but having the 3870 is a nice card to start with.

So the larger GHz on the Core 2 doesnt come into it?

Thanks
