I hate digital distribution and love owning pyschial copies of games. Where people can say "impressive collection". But when Steam does its mid week, weekend, summer, thanksgiving, Christmas, black friday, publisher weeks, etc. selling games 10-95% off. Its hard to argue with that logic. I would rather pay $1-15 for a game online then going to a store and giving them $50 including the wasted gas to get there. Now I only buy hard copies of console exclusives or games at the flea market or pawn shops.
I have a ton of consoles and devices. So when they are all in idle it probably averages 8-12 kwh. So I ended up buying a couple power bars for my upstairs and downstairs entertainment setups. Where I just press the button on the power bar when I am done with it.
Another great Indie title to check out is Magicka. If you can get a couple friends together and play. Then it is a blast. Just sucks that the game was broken upon release. But over the last couple weeks the dev did a superb job at patching the game and making it playable with friends : D I would not be surprised if Magicka won some Indie awards for its magic system.
is it just me or does the second game look more bright and possibly fun to play then the grimmer third installment? Or did they just happen to take screenshots of all the grim looking locations from 3?
Oh noes a few pixels difference on consoles nowadays is a big effing deal. It has now offically destroyed my attitude of thinking multiplatform games are better experienced on the PS3 then any other system. Since we all know that gameplay and how much fun we have is measured in the amount of pixels/detail difference between systems.
So basically its a feature to get for people that have more money then they can spend. For the rest of us that have to actually manage our money. Its not worth it for a few more years.
Okami I will say is the last actually innovative games I have played in ages since the last and current gen of games IMO. Since the combat system and how you solved puzzles was great. I highly recommend the game to anyone if you have a open mind for a great storytelling, art direction and of course its awesome gameplay.
